  2. Thanks. May well grab this too.
  3. vlog/infomercial... .
  4. What are folk using for stage lighting to light up the band members? Ideally a single bar floor uplight would be good if they don't blind and are not unflattering - does such a set up exist?
  5. Well done and respect from me for taking that on. I couldn't do it and i've been playing for 40+ yrs. Like how you've labelled the pic with whats on your pedal board. Good idea. Dave
  6. Hi Mick, many thanks
  7. We use QSC gear belonging to our drummer and i have to admit its the best i've heard and used. For smaller gigs we use 12" cabs but i think they have a 2" compression driver but they handle all vocals and acoustic guitar. I've also heard of bass players using these as bass cabs rather than bass amps as they are full range cabs. For anything bigger we use his 3 way 15" cabs but they can cope with anything really but are quite big and a tad heavy. He puts his drums thru these. He also has the sub woofers but we very rarely need them. QSC kit is exceptionally good IME. Dave
  8. I didn't know that Pino was in a band with Bingo from The Banana Splits.
  9. Googled the Elwood fretless and had different versions appear. I'm guessing as you mentioned Stingray its the L4P version with HH near the bridge. The others were twin HH and Jazz style bass. Dave
  10. Sorry. I’m a trustee with Citizens Advice so I talk all this stuff a little too seriously. The guys at ATB seem ace and I’m sure it was just me being me, but it didn’t feel right to me. I appreciate I could have been a mad time waster and in their game they probably meet a fair few of those!
  11. I just bought the waza guitar version, the bass sounds great. Practice playing along using spotify or band recordings, which sound miles better using the 3D stage setting. I'm not convinced the bass specific one would be any better sound wise but obviously has some bass specific options. I like the 3D effect but turn off the gyroscope so it's equal in each ear. The bass version has a few drum patterns but I have a drum machine app on my phone so not really needed. The chorus, flanger and echo effects sound great. Not sure what the bass version amp choices give, so has anyone had both is there much difference apart from price.
  12. Hi everyone, Selling my Aguilar AG 5J-60 Jazz Bass pickups. Used in 1 bass and only replaced as I was wanting to try a different sound! Looking for £100 all in. Based in NW London, happy to ship within the UK. Any questions feel free to DM me!
  13. Hi everyone! Selling my John East J Retro 01 Deluxe preamp as it has been replaced and I no longer need it! It’s missing a knob but is still in working order. Looking for £100 all in. Happy to ship within the UK. Any questions let me know!
  14. Far be it for me to identify the culprit here, but based on my own experience with a certain retailer whose premises would fit perfectly into your '90 mins' journey-time, I'm not at all surprised. 'Nuff said.
  15. Yep, madness mate
  16. Just observing that deposits aren't illegal as such. I can't offer a judgement on your situation as I'm mot an expert.
  17. Just for the record, I bought something like 30 years ago a quite heavy Revox reel tape recorder that arrived completely destroyed as it was simply put in the thinnest cardboard ever... I never got any refund.
  18. Earwig go again - The Weeknd
  19. Mis-sold as a newer version, missing accessories, shoved in a random box with no packing so turns up faulty and they want you to record a little video for them? Link them to the thread.

  21. My hand works on my fivers, it just doesn't feel as comfortable, and I have long fingers. Close spacing is an option, but too close can inhibit fingerstyle. Let's just say I have never found a fiver I can play like a four? Regardless of muting issues.
  22. Hi Folks, I am selling this custom GregoryPreamp cream GBP3. All prewired! It will be a matter of soldering the pickups and you are good to go! It's mostly custom because a tone knob working in both active/passive has been added compared to what comes standard. If you compare the frequencies to an Aguilar OBP3, they are very close. Punch, Loud, Lots of tonal options. This will make your Low B sound like you haven't heard it before. Because I am nice , I am including a sound clip (which most people don't do) It's a 5 knob config (see picture) Volume active passive push pull Tone control working in both passive and active mode Blend bass 40Hz +/-18dB (stacked with treble) treble 6.5kHz +/-18dB (stacked with bass) mid +/-12dB 400Hz/600Hz/800hz frequencies switched by microswitch inside the cavity An additional microswitch enables the emulation mode of a 5m Fender cable, which allows you to change the character of the sound of the pickups. An additional +10 dB Gain trimmer inside the cavity Wired 18v (2x9v) Funk.wav
  23. That’s a big chunk of non refundable deposit there walshy isn’t it
  24. Got home from work. Set it up again. Nothing in either passive or active input, the needle doesn't move at all and no sound. Tried with the mute in and out, nothing. Tried connecting through the fx return. Nothing. Also tried bridging the fx loop, still nothing. The cab must be working because when you push the mute button in, you get a pop. Also the first dew notches of the master volume you get a crackle. I'm am very angry at this. It's faulty, the packaging was abysmal, it was described as an EVO II its not it's an EVO I, and it said it had the carry bag which it hasn't. And I have to provide evidence of the fault.
