  4. I have a long history of buying multi FX things and not using them because the editing options just make my head spin. So then I sell them. When I got the Tonex some time ago I messed with the editor and it was not intuitive for me and it went into a drawer. I messed with it again last night. There has been an editor update in the meantime and it is doing exactly what I hoped it would in a way that was really easy. Thank you Tonex bods.

  7. 1999 Musicman Stingray 3 EQ H in Translucent Teal. Amazing sounding SR4, just doesn’t get played much because of my Sabre. A few war wound nicks/chips from giging, nothing major. Comes with original MM hardcase. £1300 including UK Shipping. Bass in Glasgow if anyone wants to try it out first. Cheers
  8. Ah yes, my bad, we have only played the unicorn!
  9. I like Yamaha a lot tho Ive never owned a bass. Unlike the majority of 'Luthiers' they're a legacy engineering company first and forememost and I guess approach every project from that angle, and as I think we all agree it shows in the quality of their stuff.
  10. Which ones are you clicking on, Mattz? I will have a look and see whether the problem is at this end.
  11. Whattta gold mine! I am curious how to view the pdfs. When I click on them I'm taken to a page that says it cant be found. Thanks! Matt
  12. Interesting - a Spector is on my long list of basses to try for sure... There's just something about the body shape that feels a bit naff to me though. The BB shape is classy and restrained but still cool, and the headstock is amazing too I think. Spector bodies just feel a little "eh" to me right now. Would love to try one soon though!
  13. I wish! No, that's the Unicorn. The Globe's car park is tiny and parking outside the front is a lottery. Luckily the Unicorn is a couple of minutes' walk so we park there after we've offloaded on the road outside the Globe.

  15. So how did it go guys and gals? Was it as much fun as I had at a Rememberance Parade service followed by an afternoon painting walls?
  16. We arrived at our gig in Ulverston last night to discover that we hadn't brought microphones, mic leads or mic stands! We borrowed one off the pub, another from an audience member who lived around the corner, and another off a mate of mine who was playing in a different pub 10 minutes walk away (a Shure Beta 58 too). Tiny pub, cramped performance space, absolutely rammed with people, couldn't move for bodies. Great gig in the end, but I wished I'd taken a bigger bass cab despite the tiny space we were playing in. Rob.
  17. And mine's full-colour 🙂
  18. Fantastic work, they look brilliant 👍🏼
  19. +1 for Tru Oil, I refurbed the neck on my BlazerRay build on here. There is a definitive 'How to' here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/331219-95-tru-oil-finished-guitar-a-how-to-guide/
  20. If I had the spare cash I'd buy a new one from Viv - probably in black with the roasted neck. Re your HPF comment, my Mullarkey came with black nylon-coated flats fitted and that will be a factor. They sounded surprisingly good in rehearsal so I've decided to keep them on for now. What strings are you using?
  21. 2 Brand New Alder Slab Precision Bass bodies from Guitarbuild. Had these for a couple of years and only taken them out to take this pic. Shipped in their boxes and priced each including UK Postage. I think they cost £180 each when I bought them.
  22. For such a small outfit they sure do. Bought the HPF online for around 90 bucks, had it delivered to a contact in Toronto and his parents who are my neighbours brought it back with them after a visit. Bit of a hassle at the time but well worth it.
  23. Bought an MXR Micro-Flanger from James (JGSpector). Excellent transaction and very good comms throughout - Item exactly as described in listing very well packed and delivered promptly. A pleasure doing BC business with you James, take care. Chris (Chezz55)
