Sadly I couldn't justify keeping these so both are now gone. Quality guitars and great value for money.

Sorry to interject but are you sure it's a blockless? Most of the blockless basses I've seen have a bulge to the sides at the neck joint so the sides meet the neck at a larger angle, rather than curving inwards towards parallel with the neck like yours. So I suspect it may have been built with a block. Looks like a nice bass, possibly closer to Markneukirchen/Saxony style than Bavaria IMO. -

This piece of kit is wonderous. It’s programmable as well. I bought it when I foolishly thought I would be playing again pretty soon after my Stroke October 2023. No chance. At the time I was enthusiastically making up cables to fire up a Compressor, Chorus, A ReVolt Pre, Octave and a Zoom B3. I bought Sub Zero Hum Destroyer. It all cables were tested for continuity it fired up a treat. That was a year ago, at 78 my optimism wained and disappeared. Check it out here. https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Mooer-L6-MK-II-Pedal-Controller/2A9P?origin=product-ads&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22226322366&gbraid=0AAAAAD_kjLSU6pZlNpdwpVE37FUgiq9h9&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItPy0kNfQjQMVpZNQBh0SUgBmEAQYAiABEgKUiPD_BwE So I’m selling up the whole shebang, included in this deal are the following bits of kit. 1 ) MOOER L6 MK 2 Pedal Controller and PSU // 2 )Sub Zero Hum Destroyer // 3) A8 Transmitter and Receiver plus charging cable // 7 x Jack to Jack interconnects // 8 x separate DIY Jack plugs some cable. 2) https://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/SubZero-Hum-Destroyer/27BH?origin=product-ads&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22290702904&gbraid=0AAAAAD_kjLSY78f70GAq9APIouIkxD1iP&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlrKq2t3QjQMVvZ1QBh2IChUVEAQYASABEgLjXfD_BwE 3) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver-20hz-20khz-Electric/dp/B08S6MVCZ8/ref=asc_df_B08S6MVCZ8?mcid=446e41fb39553be9b6e21efb69c8b5c7&hvocijid=9066602346231471955-B08S6MVCZ8-&hvexpln=74&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696285193871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9066602346231471955&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9194605&hvtargid=pla-2281435176698&psc=1&gad_source=1 Any more info just ask

Bands being accessible to fans (shout out to The Sherlocks)
Burns-bass replied to Steve_nottm's topic in General Discussion
Yeah this is fantastic. I’ve just come back from Disneyland and the effort they go to there to make the attraction accessible and inclusive is brilliant. My daughter has a disability and they couldn’t have done any more for her. Appreciate Disneyland is not everyone’s cup of tea (mine included) but have to shout out to them. -
Great to meet you Paul. Easy transaction with a top bloke. Hope you enjoy the cab! All the best Ian

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of dipping my toes in to DB. Mainly to play in a first wave ska band, but I'm also interested in getting some lessons on jazz and rebuilding some classical knowledge. I was wondering if anyone has advice about renting a bass in the first instance before taking the plunge with a purchase. Is that worthwhile approach? I was just having a look at the bassbags website, not sure if they would be able to deliver up to Glasgow from Derbyshire? Other options are keeping an eye on the classifieds and eBay for something nearby or giving a cheapy eub a go. Jas anyone gone down the rental route?

Ahh look at that, great job in getting it back to full function and playability, as you rightly mentioned, it was waaaay beyond an easily fixupable project and much more in need of advanced skills when I sent it to you! It is definitely worth the asking price and more, great sounding and great fun to play glwts.

Bought this a while ago here on BC, I'll admit, very cheaply. This was due to a 3/4" action, three raised frets and a neck that should have had "Fyffes" on the headstock. I think the seller had, (quite wisely), given up on it. However, I love a challenge, irrespective of the financial viability (quite unwisely) so, after investing 22 hours of labour plus two visits to a luthier in Fakenham, I now have a fully working, beautifully playing and very nice sounding bass with a low action. It appears to be a Samick Saturn Artiste in Holoflash finish. Active/passive electronics P/J config with 9v pre. Anyway, I digress, Weight 3.95k (8lbs 12oz) Nut 43mm Neck @ 24th fret 64mm String spacing at bridge 16mm 34" scale A hi mass bridge and a fully working truss rod. Currently fitted with a new set of DR Dragon skins No real damage anywhere, just age related scuffs etc. I bought and repaired / refurbished this as I needed a pub bass to combat the "My mate Psycho Mickey plays bass, giss it ere" situation, but as I no longer wish to play in scummy pubs, there's no point in keeping it. So, if anyone fancies a very reasonably priced bash at 5 string or is a familiar victim to the above situation, come and try it out. Ideally collection from Ashill Norfolk but happy to pack up and send at your cost and risk as I have a bass carton and tons of bubble-wrap. The last two pics shows me playing the bass at a Jazz club gig in France last October. Took this one because I'd heard a couple of stories about Les Douanes Francaises confiscating equipment which turned out to be complete boll***s Anyway, it was well up to the job. Sounded great.
