Are you saying that an arrogant, patronising and dismissive attitude toward customers is just down to being busy rather than having the right people in the roles? Reading the responses to negative reviews on line and with my own experiences, it seems that being busy is regularly given as a reason for having a less than acceptable customer-facing attitude. It's like, "Sorry I'm rude but we are very very busy and you're in the way". I was a very good (high spend) customer at BD when MS was running it solo, but as soon as it expanded to take on that first employee, I had a few consecutive bad experiences entry one employee in person and on the phone that have coloured my judgement and now I only buy from BD those things that aren't available easily elsewhere. LHZ preamps being an example, of which I've had 5 this year and Spector bridges x 3. As far as basses, amps, cabs etc. I choose to deliberately avoid BD because of those demeaning and belittling experiences that I've had. I consider that constructive and fair customer feedback.

Intonation set up on Cort B5 Element
rmorris replied to neil___lien's topic in Repairs and Technical
Given the physics / mechanics of a fretted stringed instrument - intonation is always a thing that may need to be evened out - ie splitting the difference - depending on sensitivity. fret placement / crowning is a thing but so is string tension / gauge (go lighter but raising action counteracts benefit) and and action. -

Just got in from a rehearsal with my classic rock band, using my new Sandberg California TT SL. Went well though as it’s a jazz bass configuration I struggled a bit with the sound as am so used to a Precision type sound. However at the end the band said how good they thought the sound had been, with better separation on the instruments as my bass was lower/deeper. Was a dream to play though, and being 6lbs it was so easy on my back, don’t even feel like I’ve been at a band practice, was def a good purchase.

I had the same issue when I first started on bass. The Fender model felt huge and unwieldy, but the Washburn was much more nimble. The neck was wider, and I liked the 3+2 tuners on the headstock (3 above, two below). I chose the bass that I most enjoyed playing, and which felt right in my hands.

Owen started following Bass damaged by faulty case

Oh! Ouch. I had a case which damaged my bass. When my homemade carrying strap broke, my case did not protect my bass as it hit the stone steps. That was my own stupid fault. What happened to you and G4M reversing hard out of the situation is deeply uncool.

Sushi Box FX Grand Slampegg with NOS Valve - £350Delivered in UK. Purchased direct from Sushi Box at the beginning of the year. Boxed and in mint condition. I replaced the valve with a JAN TUNG SOL Black Glass NOS valve which was highly recommended by B15 enthusiasts at an additional cost of £75. https://www.sushiboxfx.com/product/grand-slampegg/ https://www.langrex.co.uk/products/6sl7gt-vt229-jan-tung-sol-black-glass-nos-valve-tube-lc30/ It is a beautiful pedal but I don't have room for it on my pedalboard so it has seen little use as my main preamp is a Caveman Audio BP1. Potential buyers are welcome to demo in Glasgow.

Just got a EBS MB3, need a cheap IR loader for headphone practice.
dave_bass5 replied to dave_bass5's topic in Effects
I canceled the order for the IR loader, as I realised i dont really need it. Loving the EBS Microbass 3 just as it is. I cant see me ever going back to Sansamp now. It's not perfect, but it's as close as I can get with one box. -
