  2. Yes, there is now the ability to copy/swap patches (at least within the VA engine) directly on the pedal. The factory patches are now built into the firmware file and can be reset directly on the pedal. As for onboard sound parameter adjustments, these are as in previous versions with access to 9 common parameters with full adjustment range. (I had hoped to persuade the team to implement a secondary layer of adjustments to take it to 18 but they didn’t go for it. We actually looked at full onboard parameter adjustment but it would have required either a cheat sheet for numerical entries or fairly cryptic 3-digit names and sub menus. The complexity of adjusting flexis via such a menu was what caused András to demur.)
  3. new lower price bump will consider swaps.
  4. Just a light-hearted focus on the "artificial" bit and what we're comfortable with in live performance, when music is arguably being created. Only human intelligence involved. But as @Woodinblack has rightly pointed out: AI isn't actually intelligent. Cool so you're a level 2 artificiality performer on the Krow scale. "Solo artists with backing tracks. Burn them." 😂 Love it! My former bandmate, who gets a chunk of her performance income from solo work, will be delighted to know that she's been shortlisted to add to global carbon emissions 😅
  5. You’ll be better putting it in the Double Bass for sale forum, will get more eyes on it from people who are looking for one. These are the only EUB that seem to be universally recommended - they sound amazing, I wish I could afford it!
  6. Cracking basses these, and a decent price for one too - GLWTS!
  7. I prefer the "traditional" woven look.
  8. 1 - Pedals. I have no problem with any sort of effect, guitar synth as long as it is being played by a person. 2 - Emulators to get sounds - no problem with that, as long as a person is playing it. 3 - Bands using backing tracks. Unless you are the Who playing Won't get foold again or Baba O'Riley, then I'm off. I don't willingly stand around and watch bands that rely on tracks to sound like they are any good. If you want to use Tracey's tapes, you're NOT a full band. IMHO. YMMV. Programming is a different discussion to AI creating music. I use sequencers on some recordings, but don't take them on a stage. 4 - Bands replacing drummers with machines. Nope. 5 - Solo artists with backing tracks. Burn them. 6 - DJ's. Obviously they are THE DEVIL, but we already knew that. 7 - Jukeboxes. They are what they are. I'd say none of those points refer to the discussion about the creation of music by AI though.
  9. I think 24 blocks is great but they could do with some more flexibility in what blocks are available. It was all a bit confusing too I think for newcomers, having the fixed blocks for certain fx like Chorus or Comp which had different options to the more general fx blocks. As soon as you start doing parallel chains you quickly hit the limits of the blocks.
  10. Despite moaning frequently about these younglings buying vinyls (😏), I'm getting a bit of a vinyl itch on. I don't know whether it's the having or the getting tbh. There's about 100 albums and a few boxes of singles in my spare room, plus I have access to a ton of vinyl that comes through the charity where I volunteer. For me, I just need a built in phono stage and wireless (Bluetooth) connectivity so I can squirt the output into a Sonos system. This isn't going to be a full blown addiction thing. It would be nice to just hear a few things that aren't on Spotify.
  11. Selling a TC-Helicon VoiceWorks Plus vocal effects processor in excellent working condition. Features: Real-time pitch correction, harmony & effects Multiple built-in vocal presets Robust and road-ready unit Compact and easy to use Fully tested and working perfectly Video available showing full operation on request (can’t seem to upload it to the post). Collection or can post at buyer’s cost
  12. A small but powerful modular system I put together based around a Moog Mother 32 synth and sequencer. I added a Doepfer LFO A145 for increased modulation possibilities. I also added an Erica PICO DSP for onboard effects such as delays, chorus and reverb. There is a Doepfer mixer A138 and Behringer CP1A power supply. The modules are housed in an official Moog 104 HP case with some rack space left for more modules. The unit is unboxed and comes with mains adapter, patch leads as pictured. There is no midi lead included. The units are in very good condition and the Moog unit was recently serviced. The case has a cosmetic scratch at the front as pictured. I can include some extra rack screws. It’s compact but quite heavy as there is a lot packed into a small space! It is a great introduction to modular with plenty of patch options for experimentation. The Mother 32 has an onboard sequencer and small rubber ‘keys’ so it can be used standalone using headphones or an amp. It can be triggered by external midi or cv controllers. Selling as a complete unit. Pickup preferred but I can post UK only at buyer’s cost. It’s worth looking at reviews of each module to get a better perspective of what they can do. I’ll list on here to see if there is any interest before trying the usual…..

  15. I used to detest Ashdown amps until someone on here explained how the preshape function works (on when its off). Once I got to grips with that, my love affair began. I currently own two Ashdown’s, an ABM400 1x15 Neo combo that I have in a live-in flight case, and the absolutely fantastic Geezer Butler Head of Doom (that I pair with a Vanderkley 2x12). To be honest, the 1x15 combo covers most gigs as in my main band I also provide the PA (2x15” powered tops with 2x18” bass bins) with everything mic’d or D.I.’d so the backline is only really centre-fill for the front few feet of ‘audience’. The HoD comes out for bigger gigs or rare Sabbath tribute shows. Now my last SWR head has left the fold, I ‘might’ add a newer ABM EVO IV head, or even the newly announced PBM 200 as a gig-bag back up.

  17. Early 2000s the music industry was almost destroyed by free file sharing led by Napster. Streaming was actually the saviour back then. There's got to be an opportunity for a streaming platform to be set up that takes only non ai content, and requires some form of validation from uploaders. Then folk can decide for themselves what they listen to. Free range vs chlorinated chicken debate. There's plenty of bands and artists with deep pockets that could spearhead this in conjunction with the US and UK Musicians Unions?
