knicknack started following Kithara 'Samson' 30" Scale Bass
-
Up for grabs is this Belfast-built Kithara Samson shortscale bass in Turbine Bronze, as played by the likes of Dave Landreth, Finneas, and Lewis Capaldi to name a few. I'm really torn about letting this go, as it adds something a little different to my collection and is impeccably built, but since it's acquisition two 60's bucket list basses have joined my collection and i just can't justify having them all! I've added a Hipshot Xtender, but still have the original tuner which can be replaced if desired. I will also switch back in the original strap buttons. Currently strung D'addario 45-100, but I have the original La Bella flats and a lighter Dunlop flats set both included. Again, happy to string up and setup to a buyers preference! Includes a fantastic Mono Stealth guitar gigbag. Bronze metallic finish is unlike any i've seen... and changes vastly depending on the light. Seems a little more red in photos than in real life. Collection preferred, well packed courier possible, and i'm around the country for gigs so feel free to ask! Here's the spec... BODY Wood: Alder Colour: Turbine Bronze Finish: Aged Pickguard: Aged 3 Ply Black Bridge: 19mm Spacing Pickup: Curtis Novak BS/DS Controls: Master Volume Push/Pull: Push - Darkstar voicing / Pull - BiSonic voicing. Master Tone NECK Neck Material: Maple Scale Length: 30” Fingerboard: Indian Rosewood Fingerboard Radius: 9.5” Number of Frets: 19 Nut Material: Bone Truss Rod: Dual Action Spoke-wheel Finish: Aged Gloss, back of neck sanded down to a more satin-esque/vintage worn finish. Tuners: Hipshot Ultralite Case: Mono Stealth Gigbag

It’s a bit big😀 -
I'm told it's a really good effective tool with added benefits just clean it out regularly I use a cheap ultrasonic cleaner and a soak in Milton, thats why I go for the plastic bodies rather than the nicer wood ones. Learn how to strip it down. I'll warn you now, Harps are like basis the correct number is #+1

For Irish and Scottish 'Paddy' tuning in A D & G will handle almost everything. Church and English folk is mostly Richter tunning. Americana is a mix try it in one tuning and if that doesn't work try the other. For Greensleeves and Scarborough Fair you need a cross tuned. Draw bending is just practice and not worrying about making an F'ing racket while you learn, preferably miles from anyone or anything😱. Some Harps are easier to bend than others. There are some awesome harpists out there but nearly all Blues and Rock

I have an L2500 Tribute and it is the most versatile bass I've ever played. Enjoy the gig. -

Lives up to the claim. Love it! I think that’s the best Doom 2 finish too.

By then there should be a new pedal out which is getting all the hype, so you'll be wanting to get rid of the MXR quite cheaply... which is where I come in 😁 😉

kiat started following Wireless IEM system : M-VAVE WP-12 - suprisingly good for the price
-
Took delivery of an M-VAVE WP-12 IEM system yesterday from Aliexpress for £22 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008801254116.html). Use case: I'm exploring IEMs as a player and also for the pub cover bands I'm in. Outlay is a consideration and I'm focusing on simplicity to get everyone familiar and onboard before pulling the trigger, if ever, on pricey gear like an XR18 and Mi-Pro MI-58RT. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality: good tone, lack of hiss, imperceptible latency, rubberised plastic casings. The design is good too: it comes with a second IEM, the transmitter is also a charging station with it's own larger battery. The batteries of both the transmitter station and the IEM units last for at least 3 hours. So far so good, time will tell and I'll come back for any updates.

It is! Its great, pretty much a Moog MF101 with a few more controls and a board friendly footprint.
-
Good plan, then I can buy it off you a few months later!
-
I was waiting on the sale of a bass to fund this but it fell through, you have done a marvelous job on it Rob., looks fantastic
-
Haha, it’s true I’ve had boards that would match that description. I’ve not tried an Analogman pedal though and that looks cool.

I have no idea how long this show was in the works. However, considering how many bands played the planning and organization was top notch. I can't "nit pick" tones or individual performance. It looked like everyone had a " blast " and got more than what they paid for. Daryl

I don't know a lot about metal. But I know when a band touches the hearts and souls of millions over several generations they were onto something. I did see them in 1969. Must have been their first visit to the States. I was 15 years old. They played in the gymnasium at Montclair State College in New Jersey. I'm from Montclair. Daryl

That was for sale about 4 miles from me. I think that if the seller's photos had been half as good as yours, it would have sold fast. I had no idea the figuring was that good. It's a stunner. -
