  1. Past hour
  2. The Rumble 500 is great but a few years ago I bought one of these and I'm glad I did.
  3. What the f*** does a guitarist know about anything? I don’t know why you, someone smart enough to play bass, would even listen to someone struggling to get beyond baby-babble
  4. I don't really like 'bursts, but that looks great... GLWYS!
  5. Amazing - thanks! 7. I couldn't pick out the younger Mick Jagger from the pic and the drummer looked unfamiliar to me, but makes sense!
  6. A band i was in criticised my tone in a Deep Purple tribute because i didn't use a pick. I made it clear that's how i play and happy to step aside and let them get someone else. They decided it wasn't an issue after that. I eventually left that band with that issue being a small part of my reasoning. My current Glam band now 6yrs the guitarist once made that same comment that my tone didn't have enough attack and i should use a pick. I told him the same thing and once again he decided it wasn't that big an issue after all. He's now gone 3yrs ago and replaced with a guitarist that loves my style of playing and regularly compliments me after a gig. Him and the singer love it when i do the Steve Harris gallop tone in some songs and to be honest that's probably closest to how i prefer my tone but doesn't fit every Glam song and i have to reign it back a bit. Dave
  7. No, it’s richly deserved payback and thus carries a stamp of approval from God
  8. 1 - Elvis, no doubt at all. 7 - Rolling Stones (Gretsch bass drum, so...) 8 - The late Toby Keith 9 - I'd plump for Earl King ??? (pretty certain it's not BB King; he never played Strats...)
  9. Ditto ^^ My only "regret" is that I'm liking it so much, I'm already tempted to move it on...to get its bigger sibling the XS-100
  10. Damn. If I was playing fretted fours... Good luck with the sale!
  11. WOW as much as i like this, it's a little bit wicked. 👌 Dave
  12. Peavey put green back lights on the knobs of the new one. Looks cool. Blinds you from seeing the settings. Fail.
  13. Yep, I only got 2 sets and postage for around £13! Pretty happy with them after 24 hours. They're on a new (to me) bass, so I can't evaluate completely.
  14. Too right. No cutting corners. They were both Duracell!!
  15. Fantastic powered cabs, but I seem to remember you needed a rugby team to help you lift one.
  16. If Pete way played jazz… nice job ! Well worth it if you have a fretted one already . Glwts
  17. Can't Get It Out Of My Head - ELO
  18. Brain Damage - Pink Floyd
  19. I think you've hit the nail on the head there, it's rich & sonorous because of the cedar top and the thin finish. Keep going like that, it'll only get better and better.
  20. If it's making the right noise at the moment and your only concern is removing the push/pull, I'd just go with the values of whatever is currently in there.
  21. I'm actually kicking myself about missing out on the Bergantino IP310 powered cab that was in the marketplace the other week. Something like that would be ideal, plug the POD or the FlyRig in, and away you go.
  22. No, this is useful information - thanks!
  23. Insane in the Brain - Cypress Hill
  24. That might be of interest to the OP. In the meantime my advice still stands, look at separates.
