Christmas presents....What did Santa bring you?
verb replied to Mudpup's topic in General Discussion
Indirectly, yes. I received an Amazon voucher from my work, which I used to purchase some D'Addario strings. -
Lindt chocolate. Also found a box of effects from my garage. Most probably will sell some of them as well as my misa Tri-Bass.

Top tip - Steinberger/Hohner players

I am surprised but the fact is I have to tune it evry couple of weeks instead of a few times a year! I think they are now vulnerable to being knocked, or to temperature cycling. This is mainly the B2 I keep at my partner's home. -

Did you receive any bass related crimbo pressies or unexpected winners this morning? I was lucky enough to get a used Bergantino cab ready for my return to live gigging in a few weeks time and also a posh Tempur pillow from their refurb shop. Once I've seasoned it nicely with some dribble and snot I'll report back on it (both the the pillow and the cab)

Ibanez SR500 in Brown Mahogany. Lovely thin neck as you'd expect from an Ibby.. No major dings that I can see other than some buckle rash on the back. Currently strung with flats but can supply with round wounds if required. Currently offering with collection only but I could sell this in a brand new Ibanez MB300C fitted hardcase for an extra £90 if you were prepared to organise your own courier.

Happy Chrimbo guys this is fairly short , but maybe for some, not short enough I am of course blaming Lurksalittle for the choice of song , but then I did have 12 months to come up with a better idea! EZ drummer with me playing bits along on the midi keys, Ibby six string thrashed on the top 4 strings , Gordon smith bass walloped on the bottom 4 strings and my singing with an overly tight G-string, Ozoned to death and strung up in Reaper. sing along , you should Know the words.

I'd be tempted to (as above) fill the chips with something clear, lightly key the current finish and spray with translucent black nitro. You'd still see the grain and save yourself a lot of time and swears. Easy to diy, just wait for the temperature outside to pick up again. -

These days, so many companies make good basses there's no need for me to even consider looking at something if it doesn't catch my eye. If I'm shopping for basses there's no way in the world that I'm going to plug in the one on the left if it's hanging next to the one on the right. Even buying online, I'm going for something special.
