Id quite like an Al Cisneros signature Rickenbacker. Id also like some of his skills.

If an agent books out a band, he/she will charge - usually 15%, sometimes more - on top of the band's fee. So how is it different that a venue asks for 10% for recommending a band? If the band doesn't get the booking, it (and the customer) won't pay, so what's the problem?

I just 5 minutes ago spoke with Rose Morris (the shop in Denmark Street) to ask if they stocked the Kawai ES60, to upgrade my old Kurzweil. They do - and I was also offered the option of Roland pianos (two doors down in the same street) and Yamahas (5 minutes walk away, at the main Yamaha store at 152-160 Wardour Street Soho London W1F 8YA). So, perhaps Denmark Street would be a good starting place for @SumOne?

My EBMM USA Sterling has a 'normal' oiled neck and never needs tweaking. I only ever need to adjust the tuning when I change the strings!

Christmas present ideas for bassists

I'm getting a TS101 soldering iron of Mrs lemmywinks, about £42 off AliExpress. Might be a good present for tinkerers, can be powered by a laptop charger or USB Type C. -

Here is the best readable brand name I can get, but it doesn't ring a bell... -
@ around 3.16 I got this screen shot. No idea of the brand.

Awesome bit of kit that has helped me play my bass and my Novation Bass Synth through the same signal path. I've used it as two inputs routed to one out, but can also direct one input to two outs. Really superb utility pedal for your studio / pedal board. Fully working and in great condition. £45 with postage to be added. Probably £5, or collect from Warwick. Thanks,

I agree. An excellent bass spoiled by an unimaginative p/g. A slight curve would have made all the difference.

So there’s a new album out with Snarky Puppy teaming up with the Metropole Orkest. So anyone like to identify the semi that Michael is using on this mega performance which I believe involves 74 musicians.

Could be done on a fretless very easily, Dave. Even a fretted if it came to it.

It's as true now as it was last year. Truerer in fact. -
Can try to whisper it to us?

Didn't notice it before, but the fretboard dots just...stop. I think they get away with it on the 4003S as it is only 3 frets, but the 5 blank frets on these look a bit odd.
