  2. The 2%-5% handling fee thing is easily dealt with. On the rare occasions I encounter it I just add the same percentage to the band's fee, I tell the booker about it in advance, and I tell them why I'm doing it. I've never once had push-back on that. The people I'm dealing with routinely agree with me that it's fair, and of course it's not their money. If they've booked a band at £300 they're hardly going to switch you off because the fee is now £306.
  3. To be fair, it's quite easy to put dots in the right place and remove and fill in the wrong ones. Definitely worth doing if the bass is otherwise great!
  4. 20,000 mAh sounds impressive except mAh stands for milliampere-hour. That means a more sensible/honest rating is 2 Ah. That well may be compatible, but you want to be sure of it, and that the USB cable is rated for at least that.
  5. They feel like they're made of helium. Personally I'd go for the longest scale you can find, if you go fretless (23-25" feels ok to me, less than that it gets tricky, but fretted is fine). I'd also consider one of the GoldTone offerings. I have an M23 fretless, solid body, and it's pretty cool. They also have hollow body versions for even lighter propositions.
  6. A benefit of this is not then spending your share straight back over the bar, so you end up with actual money, albeit at a later date.
  7. Hi, no, it’s 34’
  8. Yeah this is the 2.0 version, the first one was quite a different beast altogether. I assume the bars were added later on. Don't see many of these about!
  9. It's speaking to you! 🤣
  10. Great little starter or practice combo, which has been connected up to test the circuit only: otherwise unused and in pristine condition. I can post this to the UK insured for £25 (I have the original box) or you are welcome to collect it from Mapperley in Nottingham (tea and biscuits available!). I'm also happy to meet up within an hour's drive from home. Full transparency: I also have this listed elsewhere, but for £275, so this is a special price for BCers. They are £349 from the major retailers. Not really interested in trades on this - I'm trying to downsize (and I could do with the cash!). MarkBass say: The CMB121 Black Line is an amazing entry level 150W combo, the perfect choice for those who want to start with the right sound and have enough power for both rehearsals and gigs. It delivers a sound superior to any other practice amp at this price, thanks to Markbass tone and quality. It features a headphone output, and an aux input for connecting your favourite media players to mix with your bass sound, letting you practice [sic] anywhere, anytime. These Black Line combos don't have the VLE and VPF filters you see on more expensive MB kit (no doubt to keep the price down), but I do have the Super Booster pedal which includes both (I took it in a trade recently with @Paddy777 of this parish). It's pictured, though not included in this sale, but I'm sure we could come to some arrangement on a price for a bundle of pedal and combo together! Hit me up if you're interested.

  15. Eat the Rich - Aerosmith
  16. Roughly 15 years ago I was in a band that did all that stuff - the guitarist we had was previously in one of the big military bands and she could sight read like nobody I've ever met before or since. Unless it was Guthrie level she'd just look at the page and it would be perfect first time, and she'd only need 2 or 3 run throughs to memorise it. She was scary!
  17. I Want It All - Queen

  19. For anyone interested, I've just fixed my RH450 and I have some leftover (brand new) rotary encoders and knobs for sale on the accessories board. For those wanting to do it, replacing the encoders was completely successful but does require desoldering and resoldering.
  20. I've got: 5 x Alps Alpine EC12E2420803 rotary encoders (TC Electronic Part number 7E34002911) 6 x Davies Molding 1106WA knobs (interference fit) These are all brand new. (I had to overbuy to fix my own RH450 hence the leftovers!) £3 each for the encoders (plus postage) £1.50 each for the knobs (plus postage) Happy to do a deal for the whole lot. Alex
  21. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
