  1. Past hour
  2. I've been B (nothing wrong with my playing, C was a friend of A and D who were brothers and ran the band and he decided he wanted to be in the band). E and F weren't happy with the way it was done (they told me there were no rehearsals for a few weeks - there were, but not with me). Eventually F told me. It wasn't very nice. Eventually it was water under the bridge and a few years later I depped for them, but a while later they asked me to rejoin and I turned them down - largely because they'd turned out to be a load of racist bastards.
  3. I've got a Double Trolley by Marc Grue. I got it broken and have mended it to be in usuable condition. I found this unusable, where the wheels were bent, and the wheel frame did no fit the stool, and the latch under the seat snapped and a few other problems. I've put a new latch on and rebent the frame, cleaned it up and tighten some loose parts so that it is in good working condition. I've have tried and tested a couple of times going to and from, and at rehearsals. This is a trolley which helps move your bass around and conveniently doubles up as a stool. Tyres hold pressure, and will require a bungee to fasten to your bass. Find out more about it here: https://doubletrolley.com/index.php Due to the size of the item, I would prefer not to post. Can meet halfway or deliver if not too far away. I can provide more pictures on request. Open to offers. Thank you

  4. Which ones are not t**ts, you can get on with, and can play the songs? Keep them, sack the rest. If none of the above find another band
  5. Meat Me Half Way - Kenny Loggins
  6. Shop with confidence, peeps. I still have Mungo’s Pino P, and am still loving it. Great seller, and great gear.
  7. Today
  8. The best-playing Jazz I have owned, and the one that gains all the compliments - from fellow band members for the sound and the audience for its striking looks. Comes with new Fender gig bag and case candy. A retaining screw has been refitted since the pics were taken.
  9. Bought @jezzaboy's MS-60B. Helpful, well-packaged delivery, really pleasant and solid guy to deal with.
  10. The place we use has a very old Ashdown ABM300 head into a Ashdown Mag 4x10 cab. Turns out it sounds huge! Which is handy as parking in the area is scarce and travelling light is the way to go.
  11. Sausage In A Bottle — The Police
  12. This isn't going to end well. Unless that is you simplify things by banging all the band members significant others. That's something that always sorts everything out and never has any negative consequences whatsoever.
  13. If you're leaving the band @Lozz196 what's the plan for the future considering you've 2 lightweight Bergs and one on the way. Its like the ideal family. Do you have something else in mind ? Studio work or sit down Jazz gigs ? Dave
  14. What’s the weight Richard? Greetings from Scotland and I hope you’re well.
  15. Itchycoo Pork - Small Faces
  16. Empire Music who commissioned these run of basses had a 58’ pick up custom wound so that’s where the 58 in the title comes from. The travel sheet listed those features which were custom requests.
  17. Yes, now, but again, not back when I actually wrote the message, so maybe someone read it and corrected their mistake.
  18. I Ham Legend - White Zombie
  19. I posted 'Emmet Otter' on the word association thread this morning, and later as I was driving I realised a washtub bass uses resonance in the same sort of way I was thinking 🤔
  20. Pork Like An Egyptian - The Bangles
  21. At last nights rehearsal Last I used a Hughes & Kettner 300w 1x15 combo of some sort, sounded really nice. Usually the rigs at the rehearsal room are Orange, which are ok, but was nice to have a different one for a change.
  22. Had my last rehearsal with The Spacewasters before I leave the band last night. We have a gig on Friday which will be my last gig so was a quick run through the set to establish anything we needed to work on. Answer was no, as all sounded great. A bittersweet evening for me, I have to leave as gigging just knackers me in so much now, but the band sounded so good and I really enjoyed it. Still, plenty with far more to moan about than this so won’t complain.
  23. Badfinger album is a classic that everyone should have. Such a tragic story behind them. Dave
  24. Rehearsals with two bands in two days. Monday, quite mellow, nearly all new songs, straightforward and went well. No Matter What by Badfinger is a gem of a track. Today, the originals. More arranging and I had my first proper go at three part harmony*. We decided we needed to a brief funky interlude, we jammed and it turned into Funky Town. Also had a random extended blues jam, which was fun. *Actually I was only singing one part.
  25. Bay Of Pigs - Machine Head
  26. I would absolutely LOVE to see a pic of this one day! Sharkfins are my favourite thing in the world and I just love how they look, LEDs would be absolutely killer I reckon
