  1. Past hour
  2. Correct. Great sounding pickup and a great playing little vintage Fender!
  3. Badbadnotgood or something similar is a bit of a mouthful for a band name!
  4. Yes, a long day, I was working that day, I was late and I can say it was my first gig on double bass... With an audience. Nobody complained.
  5. I use the Behringer own app. Others use Mixing Station because it can be used with many different mixers from different manufacturers. Mixing Station is about a fiver (so nearly free).
  6. Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 These are great amps well known for their tonal versatility and power to weight ratio. It is in excellent working condition with a few minor scratches and blemishes to the casing. Pickup preferred so you can try it through my cab but I’m happy to post at buyer’s expense in the UK only. I’m not looking for trades. It comes with mains lead and a gig-bag the rubber feet are missing from the amp and I suspect they were taken off so it would fit neatly in the bag. I’d consider trades on a Markbass Little Mark, Bigbang or F1 perhaps a Nano.

  7. I originally learnt to play fingerstyle, but a band leader persuaded me to play with a pick (very much a thing at the time), which I did throughout the 80s! About 1990, I reverted back to exclusively playing fingerstyle, which I've carried on with to this day. To be fair, I was always a far better fingers player and these days I very much doubt I could play anything like a full set with a pick!
  8. Just watching badbadnotgood or something similar, my god the bass players tone, And the band are excellent
  9. I used to build equipment for BBC Outside Broadcast vans and a standard piece of kit to have onboard was an earth spike (just a piece of nice solid copper or steel with a tag to attach an earth cable). You used it if you were (typically) powered from a generator or mains source a long way away and you just knocked it into the ground local to the van and connected it to the mains earth terminal of your electrical distribution - which could just be a simple set of sockets. Easy to do when you had an earth terminal specially provided for this purpose, but not impossible with a standard 13A board. It does need to be a solid piece of mains cable however; 2.5mm minimum, 4mm better. As noted by many others, wireless connections give an element of safety as do RCD's on the power outlets. The problem with a wireless connection is that you might want to adjust a control on your amp/combo and only then would you discover if you and the equipment were both connected to the same earth.
  10. and I thank you 👍
  11. I thank you 😆
  12. Fantastic! Looks like a great gig.
  13. I’m just looking now but don’t think it’s there
  14. Well..it sounds great!
  15. Let them frown I say...
  16. I hope you survive the gig. Get well Last weekend when we played in 100° heat I sat down during 2 songs. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but when I saw some video it was not a good look for the band. Daryl

  18. My open mic was cancelled as the pub changed hands the hostess didn’t post that it was on, but often doesn’t as she has a fairly loyal following, so I went anyway two very drunk regulars told me I was “out of luck for playing my guitar”. 🤮 When I’d finished beating them both around the head with a sire v7….
  19. The track they played on 6 Music sounded great. Couldn't find it on iPlayer 😟
  20. Biffy Clyro on the Pyramid stage, not sure why The 1975 are on after them, seems the wrong way round.
  21. Pbass shape, nordy pickups, jazz bass spacing(ish). Antique white finish. Damn this might be my dream bass. 😳
  22. Good luck. I was watching it on the iPlayer when it cut out, when I re-started it the band previous to them was still on but they appeared to have been cut out!

  24. I'm using Timetree but most of the musos I play with are technophobes so actually it's only me using it. I've had problems with shared Google calendars, because of course you have to log out of your own Google account in order to access them. At least, that's how it used to work.
  25. Can’t believe this is still here. Can’t believe that no one in your home country has snapped this up. I hope it sells soon. If this was here, I’d have bought this months ago. GLWTS.
  26. It seems like in some circles playing with a pick is frowned upon. As a teen I was " all in " with finger playing. I switched to playing with a pick about 25 years ago. For no reason other than the type of grooves and riffs I play are easier to execute with a pick. Daryl
