  1. Past hour
  2. Fender Roscoe Beck 4 strings. I’d have one in a heartbeat
  3. I really like the look of these!
  4. Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK
  5. This was on my board for a few years, never let me down but just fancied a change so I’ve got a boss chorus on the board now. The toneprint options make it a pretty versatile pedal, found myself mostly using the Duff McKagan toneprint. No original box for this unfortunately but will be packaged securely. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers
  6. Thanks folks for the lovely comments. So I have filled the knot in the neck pocket today with some black Milliout epoxy to make a feature and stabilise it. There was also a slight splinter that came out on the edge of the pocket so sorted that as well
  7. Yeah, especially stereo. My wife (our singer) liked the Nux and it’s her birthday in a couple of weeks. We agreed i would get another set for her to try, but if its the same issue it will go back and she can borrow my Lekato’s when we gig. I only want these for the bands im playing bass with and she isnt in those. I even plugged the Nux in to my audio interface and played music through them. Awfully distorted. As with my Lekato WS-90 i can see these arent shielded well, but as long as we are carful it should be fine.
  8. Gig ink. They did a Hamer guard fir me a few months back. Really high quality work.
  9. It is... Though £1800 prior to shipping and taxes currently makes it outside of budget. Maybe when my waffle business takes off...
  10. Looks like you did a great job
  11. Our local rehearsal studios has these Laney digbethsin combo form in each room .. some kind of sponsor / deal / package from Laney .. all their gear is now Laney .. I'm really struggling with it. Is there a secret trick ... Why does the head had a mid control but the combo does not .... The lack of mid control means that I'm struggling really hard to adjust my tone .. I don't play a mid focused bass( old smoothie ray) I imagine it works great on something that is .. like a precision but I'm having to stick an EQ up front to do anything with it ..
  12. I’d make that natural, great grainy ash. maybe an “aged” tint - but not that awful orange stuff.
  13. The grain looks interesting enough. What are your thoughts having revealed it?
  14. I like that a lot. I wonder if they might do a limited lower specced MiM or USA production run if this generates enough interest.
  15. Welcome 4SR.
  16. Its a bit crazy that there isn't much between the £50-300 ranges!
  17. Not at the moment. Ive recently joined a alt rock band in Langport. We're writing and recording at the moment. Gigs later in the year hopefully. I was in a doom metal band in Devon before. My oldest daughter plays bass for Butane Skies, they're playing in Frome (and everywhere else) pretty regularly.
  18. Well, the Nux arrived and 5mins later it was packed up and ready to go back. The well reported buzz was more than a minor issue. I guess i was expecting to hear something in the background but it was quite pronounced. I know Nux state that these arent really for solo playing, which i suppose is there way of saying the sound isnt perfect, but compared to the Lekato its like night and day. They were used (from Amazon) so maybe faulty, but Im sticking with the Lekatos for now. After another go im used to the latency and it’s not a big deal. Wish there were alternatives in this form factor/price/freq band.

  20. Today
  21. He's into heavy waffles these days.
  22. It’s some sort of blasphemy, really. Everyone needs a Precision. Or maybe three.
  23. Looks like the kinda thing @binky_bass would go for
  24. This is something you don't see that often: A BassLab Custom DN VII, so a double neck fretted and fretless, 7 strings for each neck and weighing 7.7 kilos, which is not that heavy for such a monster. For sale at a very decent price (now) on Reverb (located in Germany, for those interested).
  25. Just thought I’d add the weight - 3.6kg according to my bathroom scales.
