  2. Next gig for us is our first proper headlining one: Friday 19th September at Liquid Light in Nottingham. Supports from St Lucifer and Joshua Todd. Doors are at 7.00 with free entry.
  3. New ABM 300. Quick ABM update. Got the new one from yesterday. Much more quite. Very slight sound where you know it's on, but that's it. Nothing like the buzzing before. Just it time to grab it for rehearsal using the same Jbass I used Sunday for a good comp. Noticeably more mids (nothing honky), just more punch, and noticeably not as big sounding as the older 500 in the lows. A little brighter as well. More tube sound as well on the 300. Sounded great. I like big, thick bass so I'll have to do some different EQing, but will have to do so in a way that I don't cover up that nice punch. Normally I have the shape (scoop) disengaged and the bass may be flat or 1:30 at the most depending on the bass. I was more at 2:30 by the end of rehearsal. Great sounding head.
  4. No worries - I’m in my 50s and I’m definitely struggling with keeping sharp!
  5. What difference did you notice doing this Dan?
  6. Diamonds Are Forever - Shrley Bassey
  7. Made in Italy combo 500w into 4ohms so about 300w through the combo itself. This is my backup amp but I don’t need anything more this powerful and I could use the space and money. I’m its third owner and I’ve used it on around 20 gigs and never got the master above about 9 o’clock. Previous owner said he only gigged a few times at low volume and its first owner only used it for a few church gigs so it’s had a pretty easy life. Full specs here, although it’s the current version which may not be exactly the same. But looks identical to me. https://www.markbass.it/product/cmd-102p/ £475 delivered to the UK, but would prefer collection or meet up in or around Hertfordshire or Essex. Obviously would cost a little less if no couriers are involved.

  10. These knobs. I think they tie things together nicely with their half black, half shiny nature.
  11. Martin bought my Ashdown RM 500 Evo II - super reliable and serious buyer, would totally recomment. Great comms, responsive and a lovely chap to deal with! Thanks Martin Ander.
  12. Love this! 😎👍
  13. Pardon my ignorance, but is this switchable active / passive or just active?
  14. Purchased the Ashdown RM500 EVO III from Ander What a true gentleman to deal with. Good communication, fast shipping and went the extra mile to make it happen Thank You
  15. @Byo Nice! I have never tried a Japanese Mustang, very very nearly purchased one last year. I'll have to try one though, my Player II has a much slimmer neck and that's really lovely to play, not that the JMJ isn't, but it is much much thicker. Nordstrand for the win! I put Nords in my JMJ 🫡

  17. Our singer has for years had a splitter from his mic receiver going to his IEM transmitter and the desk and relied on bleed for everything else. Having got a better Sennheiser system myself, read the manual, checked which system he has and checked its manual I’m suggesting he take his own aux feed and fun a mix of the bits he wants (no bv’s) in low focus mode. Got my new moulded plugs but for some reason I can’t get the cable to stay fixed so went back to my old set that have lasted 4 years and will do as spares in future. The new moulds have a bit more mould on them that should keep them in place better. They were a bit more expensive but spreading the cost over 4+ years is worth it IMO. The annoying part is fitting the cables to stay connected. Last set once fixed were good until I needed to replace the cable, then I couldn’t remove them 🤦🏼‍♂️
  18. OK missed FX loop and may be tad over budget: Is there something glaring I am still missing: just turned 71 2 days ago may no be as sharp as once was🙂

  20. One of the nicest stingrays I've seen on here and a great weight too.

    Darkglass Anagram

I use the black usb cable that came with it and connect it to my iphone charger. That's what I use when I just bring the Anagram with me to gigs. The psu that came with it I had no issues but it felt flimsy
  22. I remember around 25 years ago part of the midas rep's sales pitch for the easy tilt console stand mentioned the presence of discrete compartments - Im not sure the keys he had in mind were the household kind though..............
  23. Does anyone use the supplied PSU, or another third party solution? I'm not a fan of wall-wart design PSU's and the included one looks a bit fragile. I don't really want to get a proper 'pedal-board' style brick either. I have this Mooer one kicking around somewhere that'll probably do the job, but I might look into something with a bit more juice, in case I want to run anything else with it at a later date.
  24. turned up today, amazing for £36!
