  2. ... and player. Recycled a crisp set of LaBella Deep Talkin' 0.045 flatwounds (a mere 12 years old, so virtually new), ordered a set of full-length neckpocket shims, and spent the afternoon dialing the thing in. Pickguard shrinkage meant that the pickup sits VERY firm in the pickguard, but with some strong thumbwork, I managed to raise them a bit. I was kind of fearing it would have a "ski jump" at the heel of the neck, as notes chocked out above the 14th fret, but the shim and a gentle nip of the trussrod made that go away. It was already a good sounding bass, but with these minor interventions it became one of the best P-basses that I ever had. She demands hard work and perseverance for it though 😅.
  3. When you factor these statements in, which I more than agree with, they are relatively good value. I had no real feel for Musicman prices but having just looked, I think a Euro is very competitive.
  4. All in good condition and perfect working order. However missing the belt clip from the transmitter. Didn’t affect me as I kept it locked into my strap. Hence bargain at £50. Can possibly post but prefer to meet.

  5. It's a beast of an amp, I love mine. GLWTS!
  6. Brand new condition MXR Bass Synth available. It's a great pedal. The only reason that I'm selling it, is test I've just bought myself an Akai Deep Impact, which covers most of the same sounds. £275 price includes delivery within the UK. Go on, treat yourself!!!!
  7. Gator ProGo bass gig bag for sale Must be one of the best bags out there and so good I have two of them. In my opinion it's up there with the Mono's and Fusion cases. But I only need one now so this one is up for sale. Loads of pockets, single handle, snuggly interior, bombproof construction etc etc... Disclosure.....missing the pull out rain cover, only has one shoulder strap, small rip in the fabric on the top pocket, slightly grubby where the tuners touch the interior. See pictures. Collection ideally from Essex/Herts border or I can post at cost Thanks for looking!
  8. Exciting times and they say the pedal will be available to buy on the 18th 😮
  9. Thanks Gary, that's really good of you. Hopefully we can get a result with the paint man
  10. …that’s impossible.
  11. Im quite glad I’ve just sold another preamp as if this is the B15 it’ll be an instant purchase.
  12. Having a bit of a bow clear out. 1st up... Lovely Dorfler bass bow from Bubenreuth in Germany. French pattern, pernambuco, nickel mounted, 690mm stick, 131g weight. Couple of small marks here & there. New hair. Based in Catford SE London to try out or can post. £400
  13. I've had two five string Sires, a V7 Vintage and a V9. Excellent basses and loads of options on them, so you can really experiment if you've never had active or maple boards or whatever before. I felt I "needed" a 5 string then felt I didn't... The preamps are great, the maple boarded vintage V7 is really nice for snappy, trebly sounds and the pre let's you roll that off and make it thunderously deep... There's nothing not to like, apart from the headstock.
  14. Pm'd you. Still for sale?
  15. Wow, this fretboard looks beautiful!!! Congratulations for your adquisiton, I hope you enjoy it a lot. With the time I hope you explain your thoughts about the bass in a concert, rehearsals, recordings...

  17. Hi and welcome to Bssschat. Im sure you'll get a lot of this place as you browse and post on the many threads.
  18. I bought this new in April last year, using it briefly before discovering GR Bass. As such, everything is in mint condition and I still have the original boxes too so shipping is an option. This is an incredibly versatile amp, so much so that I couldn't possibly run through everything it can do here. There are lots of video reviews worth watching, but I am going to guide you to our very own Dood's review here, which gives a good deep dive into the amp. Boss Katana 500 Bass Head (£734) Boss BT-DUAL Bluetooth adapter (£45), so you can adjust settings on the fly via the app Boss GA-FC pedal (£99)l, again, for ease of switching in a live setup Boss VE-22 Vocal Processor Bag (£74), a perfect fit for the amp, power lead and a couple of speaker cables I’ve added some pictures taken today but forgot to add proof of ownership. Hopefully folks will know I am a stand up guy on here and save me the effort of retaking the pictures.

  19. I just have two sounds set up, and flick between by simply using the active switch - there are basically two sets of tone controls
  20. I agree, there’s certainly far more bad ‘have a goes’ than good, just as replica Fender builders.
  21. Love Pollock. Ive seen some have a goes of Pollock and they were woefully lacking. But if you think you can then well done.

  23. A few years ago when talking to my son about the getting the NME, Melody Maker and Sounds: "Why would anyone want to READ about music?"
  24. You know that "he" is now a "she?"
  25. https://folkiesmusic.co.uk/collections/bass-guitars/products/ibanez-btb1835-ntl-premium-pre-owned Being London-based I tried this exact bass. Extremely comfortable to play with no sharp edges anywhere digging into the body.
