We were all expats and he had to go back to the UK after his contract expired, so we got it together for a while. When he came back she dumped him and we finished our fling. Second was on a rebound who I knew and used to come to the bar I played in. She was interested in my fingerwork! Third was how I met my wife. She was a friend of the singer's wife and friends. She had seen my picture in the local paper and came to a gig. Edit. Lasy night at a gig a father & son told me they came in because they heard my bass! During the whole time the band was together, every member had serious partners of their own so nothing ever happened as far as I'm aware. Apparently I can look quite moody and stand offish at times. To be honest that's true, because when I've just finished playing for 2 hours I just feel the need to go home for a cup of tea (even on the nights where I've had a couple and get quite gregarious as a result). I didn't hear or even notice her and completely ignored her! Oops. We met again a few months later and have been together for nearly 10 years now. If I've worked all day and have a gig in the evening; you spend an hour setting up + helping everyone else, play for 2 hours, and then an hour packing down, my desire to stay and socialise is pretty non-existent.
