allighatt0r
I'm very much hoping they can actually live up to their expectations, i.e. be as good as the other VMs.

Mog
Here we go peeps. Due in the 18 of Aug. I reckon this is gonna be the fastest selling bass this year. I want that one. Thats the details from Thomann Ireland. I'm sure G4M and GaK etc will be cheaper. Duncan design pups look nice and beefy. Soooooo picking this up. I'll probably change the scratchplate to mirror or diamond plate. So excited!! :brow:
basshead56
Says 15 .08.10 now, Hope it gets there even sooner. If so, I will be leaving for New Zealand with one of these I reckon.

I love the look for the Jag neck but not the pointy horn. I love the look of the Jazz but not the neck. No, i wont be buying both.
nollaig
Definitely real. AND - Check the other link http://www.worldmusicsupply.com/Squier-Vin...-Jazz-Bass.html
This looks utterly perfect. Build diary binned. Savings... saved. One bass to bash about. Is this going to be Fender's OLP i.e. too good for the price and stops people buying the higher end - if this is £300 (£450 including the modifications you'd want to make) surely it'll trash the MIM market (if that exists)? If VMJs are such good value, so well crafted etc then why is a MIM at twice the price not twice the guitar? - leaving aside country of origin and brand name. In reality Fender need to look at the £500-£750 range and make them really worth it (like CIJs - why aren't they easier to get??????). Partly preference i guess and its a very nicely made bass but i couldn't get the action anywhere near to how comfortable it is on my CVJ. Mog
Depending on where you shop there only about £170 in the difference between VM, CV and MIM

dannybuoy
I'd check before ordering. I've been screwed by several big name internet retailers who list stuff on their site then don't even bother to email me to tell me it's not in stock until I chase them up a week after paying. For some reason, Sounds Live have two websites running simultaneously. The other one's here, and it's got better stock-status labelling. Look at something like the VM Jazz -- see under the price... it says there's one in stock. Look at the VM Jaguar. No mention of it being in stock, so it's not. Certainly not my favourite way of displaying stock status, but it's better than some.

They give an estimate of the lead time, and they've always been right so far.
