Steve Browning Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago If I was aiming for the impossible - just my folks back would do me. Otherwise; 1) My 66 slab back 2) My 53 Precision back 3) A heritage B15 4) A new splitter van 5) One of John Deacon's old Precisions 3 1 Quote
Lozz196 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago 1. I’d commission Fender to make me a chambered Precision in black/black/maple (at present this colour scheme not available on the mod shop). 2. If the above not possible I’d get someone to properly chamber one of my current US Precisions to get it at around 7.5lbs. 3. A decent acoustic guitar such as a Martin/Taylor/Gibson J45. Quote
Sté Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago 1. Xvive A58 wireless system (will certainly arrive) 2. Ibanez EHB 1000S (not produced anymore, and not in my budget right now for those which are still on the market. I'll have to be patient and snipe some used one.) 3. Well.. nothing more. Quote
MichaelDean Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Ooooooh. I've got plenty of ideas! 1. Darkglass Anagram 2. Mortrix MIDI controller 3. Boss FV-1W 4. Harley Benton Spaceship 40 (to fit the above on!) 5. Dingwall D-Roc 5 string I'm sure that'd all fit under the tree 😂 Quote
Wombat Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago If we’re asking a mythical figure for unobtainable things can I have a 1959 Jazz Bass? Quote

dudewheresmybass Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago 1: Rickenbacker 4001 or 3 ( I'm not fussy) but in Natural with a maple board 2: A maple boarded fender PP 3: A decent splitter bus and driver 4: A Marshall 810 - either MBC or VBC 5: Sennheiser G4 IEM rig Quote
Misdee Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) 4 hours ago, Ed_S said: I don't do xmas, but if I did... 1. A Peavey Super Festival 1200 reissue head 2. A Masterbuilt Warwick Vampyre 5 3. A Peavey Firebass head - the red and black one which I always loved the look of in Sound Control, but was never daft enough to actually buy due to the weight. 4. A gigbag where the side handle is placed such that, when it's loaded with stuff and you pick it up, it hangs level with the floor rather than being angled upwards. 5. A gigbag like #4 but mirrored so that when you have a pair of them, you can attach them together back-to-back and pick them up comfortably with both their handles. Master built Warwick Vampyre 5 and Peavey amps? That is really quite esoteric taste in gear you have, if I might say so. Nothing wrong with Warwick basses (or Peavey amps) but a Vampyre? Are you sure? Edited 12 hours ago by Misdee Quote
TimR Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Its that time of year when my wife tells me not to buy anything and to put it on my christmas list. Unfortunately the dog has eaten all my socks and I'm down to my laat two pairs. So I bought some more on Saturday. So. 1. Socks I also bought 2 pairs of jeans brown and black - as I can't wear my curent ones out for any Xmas parties. 2. Jeans (I may or may not wear them, then they can be wrapped and I'll open them) 3. Trail running shoes - I'll buy them and they can wrap them. 4. DMX WiFi transmitter/recievers - I'll ask for Amazon vouchers and buy them after. 5. A new bass - no idea what, 3 string, possibly Ibanez - I don't need one - I doubt I'll find one.... 1-3 are dead certs. 4 I may change my mind. 5 may stay on the list for the next 10 years... 1 Quote

Heh, if you’d rather that some love your bass and others loathe it than everyone simply ignore it, I admit the Vampyre is certainly a strong choice. I’ve had/got both generations of RockBass Vamp 5, though, so I know what I’d be signing up for 🙂 1 Quote

zbd1960 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Since I live on my own and have always done so since leaving home forty-odd years ago, I have often bought myself something 'significant' for the solstitial festivities. Back in 1982 it was Linn Sondek, which is still here sitting in the lounge. 1 Quote

Last Christmas me and my partner came down with full-blown flu a couple of days before Christmas and we were unable to join my family. We knew it was my brother in law's last one (he was in the same situation as your brother) but we were both so unwell we coud not join them. We got to spend good time with them after but I hated missing that holiday with him. I hope you enjoy your Christmas. 2 Quote

I drove him to the hosptial a couple of times and it was great to be able to help and actually get some proper time with him and my sister - had a few laughs as we drove into UCLH and back. We lost him in August. Two teenage kids left behind. It's not been a great year for our family but they're strong and supported amazing friends - it's been incredible to see people pull together to get through. Quote
