He's the sort of bloke who I think would be brilliant to have a pint with but by the time you've stuck around for a third or fourth he'd probably start getting on your nerves. And I mean that in the sincerest, nicest way possible. 1 2 Quote
SteveXFR Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Nova Twins were great. Georgia South must have her own lorry just for all those basses and pedals. The wall of death was unexpected. On another subject. Are Rod Stewart and whiney millionaire plumber Charlie Mullens the same person? They look the same and ive never seen them together. Quote

Try and get Rod to unblock your toilet, you'll soon find out. 1 Quote

Kiwi Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago We've had four reports on three separate posts withn three hours on this thread, which I think has to be a record. If not, then its definitely a long time since things have kicked off this much. Polite request: We don't have to agree on everything but can everyone keep the comments to constructive criticism rather than platforms from which to jump off into other agendas? Better, yet, just say you didn't like something and leave it at that...or even focus on the stuff you did like. Thanks in advance. 6 Quote
Misdee Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) The Libertines are looking (and sounding) a bit fat and middle-aged aren't they? They need to go to the gym or, probably more likely, get back on the gear. Edited 5 hours ago by Misdee Quote

Doherty did an interview not long ago - he's moved to the South of France and, his words, replaced his heroin addiction with a cheese addiction. 2 Quote

He used to wear shades and try not to be recognised, even though he wasn't very famous in those days. Quote

The heroin is probably less expensive than the cheese nowadays🙁. Especially if you factor in the price of cream crackers. 3 Quote
Wombat Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I’ve not see the Libertines before. Is not singing in tune part of the song? 1 Quote

These artists have experienced way too much angst to be able to hold a tune. Just try and appreciate the authenticity of their pain. Edited 5 hours ago by Misdee 4 Quote
vbance Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Can anyone point me in the direction of Father John Misty's performance...I've been on the look out all over the place and can't find anything. Quote

Marvin Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I've only watched bits and pieces of Glastonbury. Alanis Morissette, enjoyed her set. Glass Beams were good (although I assume there must have been backing tracks of some what, which I don't like much). Charlie xcx, abysmal. The presenter that introduced her on the beeb could barely control his pubescent excitement. And then... it was like watching a parody film clip of the future of live music. If this is what is being hailed as good new music, artists should be rightly worried by AI. 1 Quote
Beedster Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Jeez, Rod just got the lines wrong in Maggie May! Good on him for still doing what he does, I just don’t like what he does, Glasto feeling a bit naff 😕 Quote

Contemporary alternative rock by numbers. There is nothing remotely new or original about their music or performance. For me, CMAT have stolen the show so far from what I have seen. Caught a bit of the Scissor Sisters set last night, CMAT should take note, this is how to put on a polished professional performance. 1 Quote
Beedster Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I wonder how the auditions went: can you play some Paganini and some bluegrass. Yes. Now can you try on this tight red dress? 1 2 Quote

Countryfile is on BBC1 soon. Calm me right down, hopefully. 1 Quote
