I have spent the last few posts wondering why punk bands were playing a Donald Fagen song. Off to Spotify to find that UK Subs also have a song of that name - which makes a lot more sense 😄

Sounds a lot better with the drop D. Lot more depth if your singer can do it. Its a 2 second retune to be honest.

Loved playing Tommy Gun but SLF songs were my fav punk songs. We did Alternative Ulster, Gotta Gettaway, At The Edge, Nobody's Hero.

We grouped Into Valley, Complete Control and Alternative Ulster at the end of the set. Encores being One Way or Another and Pretty Vacant.

I do miss playing the punk songs even tho i was never a punk fan. Just so much energy in the songs.

The SLF songs we play go down the best too - The Edge, Nobody's Hero, Alternative and Tin Soldiers.

As I start Valley, it gives our guitarist chance to put his capo on for it.....

Another song i really enjoyed playing was Do Anything You Wanna Do by Eddie & Hot Rods.

God that's scary. Searched it out on YouTube.  Nit only did the chorus immediately come to mind, but I recognised Charlie Harper's furry red jumper.

That said in pre d-tuner days I did manage to detune on the fly at the end of this song
