Private Shop was on Boughton back in 1980ish... I remember the moaning in the Chester Chronicle. And me and Jock used to nip in there for amyl 😁

I’m still convinced it was Brook st , what was your dads shop, would I remember that on Boughton then ?

His shop was where MyDentist is now. He sold Akai VHS machines and rented out tapes - remember Jock getting Cannibal Holocaust and I Spit On Your Grave from there, my dad had no idea of the content! He only had the shop for a couple of years before getting sick of it, probably by beginning of '83.

And the Private Shop was where the Caspian is now - had a black front. And it moved to Brook Street later. It's probably a barber's now...

Twice in a month?  Unheard of!  The Inevitable Teaspoons will be playing next Friday night (3rd October) at Drummonds in Aberdeen.

I'll be playing my final 'From Gold To Rio' dep of 2025 with this fabulous Spandau/Duran tribute show at the Wilde Theatre at Bracknell South Hill Park Arts Centre on Sat 11th October. Gonna be a great night with some wicked basslines ;)

I’ve played that venue. It was rather good IIRC.
