???? I cannot believe it.

Currently in PM's with  a bass seller here, and his bass, packaged , weighs 77kg.  I said you mean  7.7kg   ??

He insisted its 77kg.  So the packaging weighs in the region of  73kg, give or take.

I'm going to have to decline.  My TE combo weighs half that and i can barely lift it

  • fleabag changed the title to ???? I cannot believe it.

:)

Its alright.  He saw 168 lbs on his scales and then converted online to KG's.   I think he missed the decimal point  , 16.8 lbs.   It must be an old fashioned weighing machine if it doesnt show KG's

Phew etc

Glad you got it sorted @fleabag.

Nowhere near the weight you were originally told, but I’m just about to ship a bass that is over 40lb without any packing added yet….and it’s going overseas.

I’m glad I’m not paying for the shipping 😂

Is that the Alembic?

Blimey H - 40lbs ?  Without packaging ?

What kind of strap did that need ?  :)

Yes, it’s the Alembic. Going to an excellent home in the USA.

I probably should have clarified that weight is the bass in it’s case, but nothing else.

Those Spyder cases are unbelievably solid. I’m sure if you had a good few of them you could make a decent fallout shelter 😂

I figured that the Alembic in it's case with the power supply & stuff (if this model has one, that is) would be pretty weighty.

You have to transport the amp for it as well remember.

Soundguy (yelling): "Turn it down!"

Me: "I can't!"

Soundguy: "Why not?"

Me: "I can't reach the knob..."

There's a matching guitar amp too! Meet the Crate BV600H:
