Small Lightweight Combo under 20kg?

As the title says really - what are my options? I'm after a small, lightweight combo, preferably a 1x12 or 2x10 for gigs which will most likely have monitors already so the combo would just be used to monitor my on stage sound.

Mark Bass has plenty of options, GK has 200w combos but not sure if that will be loud enough? Not after a super clean Genz sound!

There's a couple of nice Ashdowns available >>

https://ashdownmusic.com/collections/combos/products/original-c112t-combo a kick back 1x12 which is 12.5kg
and https://ashdownmusic.com/collections/combos/products/original-c210-combo 2x10 this time weighing in at 14.5kg

There's also this >> https://ashdownmusic.com/collections/combos/products/rm-c112t-500-evo a little more beefy at 16.5kg, and no kickback, but probably a little louder than the other 1x12?

I've heard pretty good things about all of the above and fact the first two kick back like monitors might be pretty handy.

Cheers,
Eude

So don't look any further, if you are talking power, versatility and little weight, the best option is certainly the MarkBass Alain Caron 121 Lite, 800 Watts for 16.3 kilos http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/combo-121-lite-strong-alain-caron-strong/

You can find it new for £720 GBP here https://www.musicstore.de/en_GB/GBP/Markbass-Combo-121-Lite-AC-Alain-Caron-Signature/art-BAS0008056-000;pgid=KfIg8AwLQ5ZSRp5LX.u_eGuO00000sxtMQld

This combo can do everything.

For rock the Ashdown RM-C210-500 would be a cracker. 18kg, 500 watts (with ext cab, so prob around 300 on its own), 2x10, drive, compression, pre-shape (which is excellent for rock sounds). A good few on here are realising the RM range from Ashdown now, def worth checking out. I have the amp head and it`s a cracker, really powerful and strong sounding.

Sounds like a good idea!
I've messed around with one of the RM EVO II heads and I can confirm its a great, very powerful amp and works really well for rock.

The MB combo I expect would be brilliant, and a great allrounder but I reckon the Ashdown RM combo would be more suited specifically to rock.

The Marcus combo could be a good option too, but for 200 gramms less and £165 GBP less, you have 500 Watts more... Yes the 121 Lite delivers the full 800 Watts without any additional speaker and is totally usable at low wattage. The more is the less here. 😉

The price at the same place for the Marcus combo : https://www.musicstore.de/en_GB/GBP/Markbass-Marcus-Miller-CMD-102-500/art-BAS0009739-000;pgid=KfIg8AwLQ5ZSRp5LX.u_eGuO00001tYz_6LP

The wedge is a very good option indeed, I like it too, but simply add this accessory and almost any combo or speaker becomes a wedge : https://www.musicstore.de/en_GB/GBP/Markbass-Mark-Stand-/art-BAS0001935-000;pgid=KfIg8AwLQ5ZSRp5LX.u_eGuO00001BLc0uAz

Are Ashdown still plagued by their reliability issues?

Not at all in my experience. I’ve had a shed-load of their gear on my trek to establishing the best gear for my needs and none has been at all problematic. Plus they’re a great company to deal with and UK based with so should there ever be an issue it’s easy to sort.
