Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!

So this is the board currently. A lot of new pedals I haven't tried in the rehearsal room yet: the OC5, MBD2, 420 Fuzz, BF2 and DD3 (so nearly all of them then...)

Had most of the Darkglass preamps (B7K, ADAM, AOU, Photon) before, then got the Bass Butler. Sold it, tried a few more (including multifx) and realised that the Bass Butler really is the sound I was looking for. Just sounds brilliant, and the extra distortion stage comes in handy.

I also just like buying and trying different pedals. 😅  Had an HX Stomp and just got frustrated with the menus, didn't have the patience for it. Love the simplicity of the BB.

Really looking forward to pairing it with the MBD2 and the 420. I kind of know what to expect from the BF2 and the delay, but interested to hear how the MBD2 and 420 work in a real space.

ha! I like this line of work - very curious on the MBD2…!

I, like you, have had the AO/AOP/ADAM/Microtubes… love the darkglass stuff but I find they eat bottom too much. Now with a new amp head on lend thanks to @Bunion my pedals sound different thru valve… the Adam sounds fuzzier, and the lil fella just sounds more full and crunchy, allows for more distortion kept clear and defined…!

I now find myself wanting an octave but I don’t have space unless I go for a Nano+!

I've not posted much on here for some while but I recently acquired a new pedal board and I thought I'd share it.  I have a pedaltrain jnr, now redundant, which is a great little board but it was getting a bit cramped. So after looking around I came across the Nux Bumblebee Boards which, with a upper and lower deck, fitted my needs perfectly so in the best BC traditions here a pic.

It's about the same width as the jnr but not as deep but as you can see I can place the psu nicely out of the way and should I need to, I can relocate the wireless rx under there too and have room for more pedals.

I have to say the Nux is very well made and come in 3 sizes, this one is the middle size.  I can throughly recommend them.  In conclusion, it's smaller and for what I need I can do more with it..win-win 😊

So rewire number umpteenth has resulted in a board that’ll work for gigs where I’m doubling on fretless bass and EUB. As an aside, the SansAmp is now in the effects loop of the EBS and it sounds mighty!

So had a little sort out dropped a few pedals and added a few back in have a second blooper on the way from damnation. This setup runs the sub all the time, out of my stage bug and I’ve set it up to have the main out from my origin bass rig but the gt1000 runs another amp sim line out aswell for extra options

Finally after months of researching, collecting, and planning i finally wired up my board and i couldnt be happier.

Thanks everyone for all the tips and ideas. I've always been big into effects, but never had put them all on a pedalboard like this.

Also, everything fits neatly into it's case with the pocket on top holding the two expression pedals.

Chain is:

Polytune 3-> lusithand compresor-> switchblade pro

Loop a : pigtronix mothership 2 -> mxr bass octave deluxe -> boss PS2 (for octave up) -> moose electronics custom dual channel od/dist ( the sunhammer)->ripply fall

Loop b: dod fx25->future impact-> boss dd3

Midibeam 4connect underneath to run the expression pedal for the FI and the two button footswitch there in the middle.

I have a countryman DI strapped underneath as well.

Expression pedals for future impact and pigtronix.

Everything outputs into a boss RC-20

Thanks to the BC members who sold me kit for this and a special thanks to whoever it is that used the embossed labeller for the power supply. I think thats a great idea.

Think this board is a keeper. Still just getting to grips with the Capo but love it so far.

Polytune2 > Capo

Then in the Capo pre fx loop I've got the Longsword > Model FeT > Thumpinator V2 > Hyper Luminal

Toying with the idea of just having the longsword in the pre and having the rest in the post fx loop. Still on the fence about removing the Model FeT completely too but gonna need a lot of testing.

Wow, does it even sound like a bass anymore going through that lot? :)

Nice to see a slicer in there, I've been tempted...

Enough of the pedals - what’s the two things above them with wood and keys?

Got it on kickstarter years ago, have a 2nd i built myself too, they're excellent.

Always wanted one of those, or their new moonlander, but very expensive esp with import taxes etc, so never managed to get one!

Yeah I think it cost about £160ish with taxes from the kickstarter, pretty sure its over double that without factoring in customs now. The key are pretty beat up and not sure I've got it in me to remove and resolder the key switches again so will probably look at a Cantor or Corne PCB next and just make it myself to save on cost!

I took the time to take a pair of pics after following this thread for ages - this is my pedalboard, a Nano+ powered by a TRex Fuel Tank JR underneath (with feet lightly raised)

I use this one on various projects and give it a few add-ons for specific gigs

The base/main shape/main band version of it is this one:
Polytune2 noir mini
EHX Holy Grail
EHX Bass Clone
Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop
Fairfield Circuitry Modéle B
1302268324_photo-output(7).thumb.JPG.80497e699e8775ad78ca324f039f6eaa.JPG
The Pedaltrain itself, the power bank, the TC Polytune and the Barbershop have been together in this since 2016.
Once I found the Modéle B (which is an always on Barberhsop) I stacked them resulting in a distortion grain  i love.
The chorus and reverb are bridged with a modded Ikea tool for some parts of my main band and I love the tone they get together.

When I play with another act I stick a loaned B7K, and when I play in my acoustic duo I add a Tech21 for clean guitar and the Boss DD-3 for a guitar part also.

This is the largest board I had, at the time (2017-2020) I had a post-rock/desert instrumental trio and I knew no clean at all.. good memories (I still have all the gear, it's just... in drawers. Sigh)

the xl is such a wonderful performer.

I wanna ask you a question, I see we have the same taste in pedals.

I also have Otto, Doom2 and Octabvre, just wanna know if you are using them in loop of HX or in front. I tried some distorsions from helix but so Octabvre is before HX and it did not work as it works with other pedals. Just want your thoughts on it.

+ 1 for small board setups. I'm planning a big home build board and starting to second guess myself on it now ha ha!!

I just decided to stick to my bare essentials. I come from a metro 16 and always find ways to fill in missing slots haha Also, it's easier to carry for me since I don't have a car yet
