I was tempted to go to the London show next Thursday but I think I need a night in!

You should definitely go, they're amazing. Full of energy, tight as a gnat's chuff and the bass player, Luca Pisanu, is amazing.

Luca Pisanu is indeed amazing but he’s not been on bass for them for a while, Gus Stirrat is the current bass player (who is of course also an insane player).

This is awkward. Mrs.Edge is taking me to see Six The Musical in the new year. I understand it’s quite good. Lucinda Williams in February, and a few others further in to 2026.

Thanks for the update, I checked the band's bio on Faceache so assumed the guy I saw was Luca. Yes, Gus is a fabulous player

Saw Broken Peach Last night. What a gig. Those 3 ladies have fantastic voices and so much energy. Nice to see a band really enjoying themselves.

Next for us is the musical Top Hat at the Kings in Glasgow, we were there in October for Riverdance, my wife has been waiting decades to see Riverdance so I had booked tickets in 2024 for the show, it was very good, the music and the dancing, it was very percussive overall.

 

We will try and take in a folk music evening too, we had a good evening at one in Garelochhead last September, we don't get back to Scotland that often so we do try and pack in as many events as we can.

Kinda wish my uncle was still around he was very much part of the music scene in the Glasgow area - have flute will travel - he knew where to go, and I have been away abroad so long I have lost touch.

Barock Project at Trading Boundaries. Great Italian prog band and hugely underrated(IMO). Only UK gig again as Michael at TB brings them over. Almost missed them last time as we were gigging until the second night was announced.

Next up for me is Belgian stoner metal band, Gnome. 

Heavy riffs and pointy hats. Local band Nomad Lizard are supporting, Ive seen them before and they've got serious groove and songs about wizards with mushrooms.
