dave74200 Posted October 5, 2015 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Hi all, I have a squier JV Precision which is awesome but doesn't give me the same growly ferocious tone my old USA Precision did. For this reason, I want to change the pickups and am looking for advice as to which ones people would recommend? I've been looking at some Seymour Duncan ones but there's lots of choice. Muppet Posted October 5, 2015 Share Posted October 5, 2015 I've just spent a whole weekend swapping out pickups in four of my Precisions. in order, my preference is Wizard Thumper, Fender Custom Shop 62s, Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders and Fender Original P bass. They have a website run by his wife and daughter, who also make the pups. Good prices for handwound pups too.
