I'm new here, but I'd quite like to pop along to the bash and meet people. I'll bring what I can fit into my car, which means "the passenger seat"!! I'll try bring my lefty Squire VM Jazz and lefty Ibanez SR500L, Fender Bronco 40 combo. (I'm returning to bass after a 10 year break so I'm very, very rusty and I'm starting to learn properly, from scratch...I have NO repertoire )

I've got a beat buddy pedal that I haven't used yet, if anyone wants to play with it too.

I'm not sure how to ask this,
I'd posted an ad on a website trying to find any bass players in the surrey area who'd be interested in joining a band, and I got a reply directing me to this event saying I might have luck here.

I'd rather ask here rather than just turn up and cause issues, do you mind someone coming bringing a guitar instead of a bass purely for the intention of jamming and finding a bass player? I don't want to miss an opportunity, but I don't want to get in the way and cause problems since you seem to have this all pretty well organised. If that would cause problems then no worries, I've started playing bass recently, so I'm interested in coming just for that side of things anyway.
Honestly I'm not sure how to go about this, never been part of a community like this, so I don't know the dos and don'ts for these kinds of events.
