....It's Roasted Tino but not as you know it! :)
I didn't get the Roasted Tino clue because I didn't know about it, and I then searched on google....... :)

My 'very buzzy' new 2EQ has been exchanged, very thankfully, for a new 3EQ in Vintage Sunburst/Maple/Black.

I would normally agree about the 'bland' maple nowadays, but WOW, this maple neck/board is beautiful for a new standard Ray!

It has birdseye figuring around certain areas, and a nice subtle bit of flame figuring on the headstock.

The board itself is perfect....

The bass is also very very well made, im back to being very confident about EBMMs :)

Pics when I get chance!

Wow Gareth, does this mean you've now turned to the.... "bright" side? as in maple fretboard side?

I used to have a fair few maples at one point, (more so than rosewood) but now I only have one! (This one).

I think the non-gloss version of a maple board (unlike the new Fenders, etc) is more my thing.

I have always liked EBMM necks, but I realise the maple wasnt as exciting as it used to be. This current 3EQ ive just got this morning has a really pretty neck and board. Lucky to get it!

This one off pre Sabre was on loan from a dear friend for documentation and evaluation .
Cool guitar! I started a pre EB porn thread a while ago if you want to put it in there too? We can say it's tuned low B to high C if anyone says anything :)

Thought i would add mine.
the 91 pino look alike, has the most amazing birds eye neck and super low action,
the natural one has a two piece book matched body, and quite heavy.

anyone got a white pickup cover for sale ?

The middle one is similar to my '91 fretless (black scratch plate Though)
gotta say though, really loving the Pino lookalikey, wish I'd gone for that look back in '91 when ordering mine, ces't la vie.
nice collection

Had this a while now and despite being up for sale I am not 100% sure I want to let it go. Just an amazing instrument, the build quality is incredible and it sounds massive.

Here you go....

Love the looks on this one, great colour and that rw-board is so sweet. If you're in two minds about selling, then keep it! It's really a classy SR5. :)
Recent addition this MM Stingray 20th anniversary 5 string....big sound, big sustain, but also a bit weighty, which is probally because of the mahogany tone block, which sure does make a big difference, compared to the last 2 stingrays i have owned
I have it's twin sister, maple board and HH, just like yours it is not the lightest (10.5 ish lbs) but from the tone alone it's so worth it - and then there's of course the wonderful feel of the neck as well as looks. Congratulations and enjoy! :)
