I'm checking out the competition on the http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk site.

Waynepunkdude has uploaded a couple of his "the plan" tracks including one that I've been pogoing to gently in my chair.

There are lots of bands already on the site, some and some not so, so I'm sure a bunch of old f@rts like my lot: obviously 5 believers don't stand much chance of getting through.

Its very heartening to know that there are plenty of bands about that still play real instruments and write their own songs rather than all the Simon Cowell karaoke competitions that usually get shown on telly.

Cheers matey.

I agree I don't think either of us will get far we just don't fit the mould but a bit of exposure never hurt anyone.

I did enjoy your songs man.
Cheers Wayne - It'd be great to see your lot getting through to the finals or indeed any basschatter's band - I particularly enjoyed your myspace song - it reminded me of my UK Subs coloured vinyl 7' singles.
We nearly played with the Subs long story didn't happen :)

Those guys rule, seriously, I haven't heard any band sound so awsome in the way they do in a long time

 Did I read that right? Fall Out Boy and brilliant album in the same sentence? I hate Fall Out Boy with a passion, and seeing the way Download festival has been going, they will probably headline it soon enough, and if its next year, Im sure as hell not going for my 15th

Another podcast: This American Life. An episode called The Break-Up, which is about... never mind. In the first segment, a (female) reporter is obsessing about the Phil Collins song Against All Odds, and decides to write her own "breakup song". So she gets Phil on the phone (not easy), and they end up commiserating about their respective breakups... awww. :)

This coming from someone who likes Airbourne? S'pose I did listen to some bollocks when I was 14 to be fair, time is on your side...

Also, Download w/Fall Out Boy > not going to Download at all. Fact.

My attempts at remixing ancient multi tracks & various versions & thinking "I know I'll enter them on the Orange thing - see how a bunch of real old f@rts get on" then realising that one of us is now on the other side of the world so there's no point.

Otherwise RPWL & It Bites new one (still!)
