seymourfluid
I’m the bass player for a certain nutter who thinks it’s a good idea to throw his guitar at the roadie at various points in the set. He’s very good at catching but finds it more difficult when said nutter is standing on the guitar lead when he makes the throw. Bad Roadie. The result yet again is this. I was thinking of a cheap guitar made of metal. Any ideas?
andydye
The legend that is John Otway or am I much mistaken? Wireless would get rid of the 'standing on the wire' problem?
seymourfluid
You are not although there is a space between the G and the E in legend.

Bolo
A flying V should give ample airtime, although a curly cord would be ... amusing.

Coilte
He obviously does not have to worry about the cost of repairs or replacement of instruments. It's a great position to be in. Most of us have to be more careful, as money is scarce.

Happy Jack
Nope ... Status double-ended roundwounds. Despite the apparent soapbar at the neck that's actually a split-coil P under there. Terrific 18V pre-amp too.

Roland Rock
I'm disproportionately and irrationally amused by the thought of photographing a bass in the garden, on an ironing board. I'm imagining the thought process.

Happy Jack
I'm disproportionately and irrationally amused by the thought of photographing a bass in the garden, on an ironing board. I'm imagining the thought process.
Well, I considered taking shots of a bunch of moody-looking basses standing around an alley, probably with one of them wearing a tatty leather jacket and another one trying to look mean, then I thought about showing a bunch of basses jumping around on a floodlit stage while teenaged girls shrieked at them and wet themselves, and then I thought ... sod it! And I reached for the ironing board.
