Sorry for my bad English. I wish I could make a better ad, but it is possible.
So I hope that these images speak better than me.

YOUR PRICE 8000 euros.

Could accept as part payment some bass, can be:

*Fender Jazz Bass '70s
*Musicman StingRay Pre Ernie Ball
*Ken Smith
*Pedulla Pentabuzz

Can offer, without fear.

But the determining factor for me to decide to make the operation will be the economic factor, and I sell this museum piece to buy a jazz bass 1960 stack knob.

I accept Paypal as payment.

Greetings and thanks.

This is the bass that has 'that' tone, that everyone refers to. A 3-knob '61-'62 slab board Jazz. Stunning.

For sure. Even if this is not a slab board, but one of the very first curved board Jazzies :-)

Congrats, Max - you have a fine piece there. Are you sure to sell it for funding a stack knob ? Think about it ... Albert Molinari (one of the very well known Vintage Fender specialists in the world) said once ago:

Yep. A slab board 3 -knob is the rarest, and most desirable Jazz out there, for the purists. The stack knobs have some exlusivity about them though, which is unfounded. There are 12 stack knobs currently available on public sale, only 2 3-knobs, including this. Also, they say that around 3/4 of all stack knobs out there are cut 'n shuts??

1st record I have of both a slab board and a curved board is the month of JUNE '62 so certainly by August they were curved only.

This is a very nice example indeed!

My reckoning on the stack knob -v- 3 knob system is that Leo Fender didn't simply change things just for the hell of it but to improve. Therefore I've never got too excited about acquiring a stack knob (Jaco's was one and he changed it).
