  1. Selling/Trading my Alleva Coppolo RA5 in Black. I just bought this bass from the first owner who got it brand new in October 2021. Condition ist absolutely like mint besides a truss rod repair (see below) and a light wear on the pickguard at the slap position. Here is the original ad of the previous owner: Ad from previous owner I decided to stick on my older Allevas which have a different body shape than the newer ones. So this is for sale again. Nothing wrong with it. Specs: Alder body in black Nitro finish Maple Board with Abalone (!) Black Blocks (very nice) 34 scale, 19 mm spacing at bridge Genuine Alleva pickups and electrics (V/V/T plus bass reble boost-only active EQ, active/passive option) 70’s pickup position 4,3 kg incl. Original Protec Gigbag, like new In spring 2022, the truss rod was repaired on this bass because the anchor below the first black block was broken so the neck could no longer be adjusted. This work was perfectly done by a well known luthier here in Germany. He carefully extracted the first block from the board and welded the anchor back to the truss rod with 4 instead of the 2 original welding pins. Afterwards he remounted the black block. I believe the truss rod is more stable than the ones on other similar ACs now ! Now everything works fine again and the bass can be set up and played perfectly. The truss rod anchor is fixed bombproof and the neck moves according to truss rod setup. The first block has now some wear from the extraction, but it does not affect playability. No stage, no studio, just played at home. The condition is top - even the electronics cover is still protected with the original transparent foil. No dings or scratches - only a slight scuff on the pickguard near the slap area. Brilliant slap sound with a very good B-string. Asking 3000 GBP (3400 EUR) plus shipping from Duesseldorf/Germany. The repair is reflected in the price. Open for interesting and reasonable trade offers. With cash either way if required.

  3. Selling my Tobias Classic 5 Fretless (Mid-90s Gibson years) Specs: Alder Body Walnut Top Wenge Plate Lined Fretless Ebony Board with wooden lines 34 scale neck, 17mm spacing at bridge Black Hardware Weight: 4210 g Original Bartolini pickups and electronics Serial: 74xx Build Year: 1996 OHSC A wonderful singing fretless from the mid-90s era, when Gibson still produced the Tobias basses according to Michael Tobias' specs. This bass still has the features of the famous pre-Gibsons models: double truss rod, curved pickup covers, asymmetrical neck, the very good Bartolini circuit ... The bass has no damages, but a discoloration on the body area near the bridge (look at the pics). Besides that the bass is in top condition and feels smooth and nice, the board has no wear from roundwounds as it has been played with flats. For sound samples search for early Yellowjackets albums with Jimmy Haslip on bass. SOLD
  4. +1 ! The knob holes fit the pot shafts exactly ! I waited since 20+ years that Fodera managed to source a high quality or even a matching set set of knobs. Roger fills the gap.
  5. Yes, the bass is huge and heavy, but as a benefit it provides a super dominant sound that won't be lost in any mix ! The bass has been played but very well cared for - so there are no obvious damages or scratches. Only the bridge shows some fading from palm muting play. That's it. Frets are in top shape. SOLD

  7. Selling my Alleva Coppolo KBP5 Classic in Oly White Specs: Olympic White Nitro Finish with Matching Headstock Indonesian Rosewood board Alleva Pickups, passive circuit Vintage Alleva bridge Tortoise Pickguard Dunlop Straplocks Lollipop Tuners 34" scale, 19 mm spacing at bridge Weight 3820g Build July 2009 Noname case Larger area of dents on the back from belts. Some dings around the body. Jimmys Nitro finishes are not really reliable… But the neck feels great and all playing wear is visible only with a closer look. Technically everything works perfect. The frets are even and have a lot of life left. The action is low and the bass plays exceptionally easy. Typical Fenderish PB sound in a 5er model. This is my last PB model from a huge amount of Allevas I own and owned. It is the best. I simply prefer my JBs. Asking 4200 EUR / 3600 GBP plus shipping from Duesseldorf/Germany

  11. The relic work from John has been the best of the world and of all times.
  12. I am offering my Alleva Coppolo Precision clone. This is the Classic series with Nitro finish and nice Rosewood board. It is from his first years and therefore still with the comfortable body shaping. Same neck dimensions like my 61 PB. Some player wear but nothing serious. Everything works perfect. Plays wonderful with only 3730 g weight. Comes with a fresh setup and new strings and an original Alleva gigbag. Asking 3.700 Euro for it plus shipping from Duesseldorf/Germany. Only trade options: Alleva Coppolo LM5 MTD 534-21 F Bass with a nice top Ken Smith Neckthrough
  13. With tears in my heart I am offering this exceptional bass because I am not able to manage 7 strings properly. I haven't seen any MD7 in the past 20 years here in Europe - and these basses are not offered anymore according to the website of Ken. Even more rare is the 7-string with the 7pc neck option together with the 5A Flamed Maple Top. This particular bass is shown as a Flamed Maple showcase on Kens website since decades. I imported the bass from the original US owner, who kept this bass in the case since he bought it. It is ABSOLUTELY MINT. The action is super low, the sound is incredible deep and crystal clear, yet providing that organic snap exclusive to Smiths . Everything works fine. Asking 7.500 Euro plus shipping from Duesseldorf/Germany. I could be intersted in trades but only at reasonable trade values and against these brands: Ken Smith Elite Fodera Neckthrough Alleva Coppolo F Bass Fenders <1966 + cash either way if necessary. Please do not offer anything else. Thanks.
  14. No, but I would use it at rehearsal and studio work - and that happens much more often than gigging ...
  15. Incredible ! If I would not already own a wonderful Fiesta slab this would be mine in a heartbeat ! These custom colours use to show up only in vintage shops these days, if at all. And then with a price tag reflecting their margin and expertise. This is an opportunity to get a wonderful, super rare and nearly complete (!) collector's package (case, covers, mutes !), well documented by the trustful seller and the specialists at Olivis's. As far as I can see, everything is absolutely legit. It's a lot of money, but I cannot believe that the value will decrease. Good luck Phil.
  16. Thanks Goran ! The pics even do not justice that bass. The colours in natural are much more shining and the wooden grain is deeper and has more contrast. I will tray to get better ones these days.
  17. Selling my very unique Alleva Coppolo LG5 Custom. It is like new (besides one small chipped out ding mentioned below) and has the following spec: Spalted Alder Body - very lightweight, yet quite responsive, this is Jimmys most expensive body wood choice Amberburst Finish - looks less orange than in the pics Pale Moon Ebony board with binding (this is a Limited upgrade) MOP dots 34" 19mm spacing at bridge Jimmys proprietary pickups and electronics, pickups in 60s positions Built 2019, Weighs 3,9 kg (!) I bought it in new condition, but I managed to chip out a small piece of finish at the back of the neck joint - I will add pics later. Besides that the bass is absolutely like new - even the transparent foil is still on the back cover plate. The sound is typical Alleva-like, so it tends towards the classical early Fender timbre - although the Pale Moon Ebony board adds some snap and opens the upper registers. Asking 4.900 EUR (4500 GBP) plus shipping from Duesseldorf / Germany. IMG_4339.HEIC IMG_4343.HEIC
  18. I know this bass very well 🙂 and I can say it is extremely responsive and has a huge B. A great instrument for everyone who has something to tell with his/her fingers. Willem is a great seller and this bass would put you far above 16K Euro retail price due to the massive amount of upgrades it has.
