2. Amazing, versatile tone combined with bone crushing power. You need this amp in your life, folks.
3. Got this from work a while ago, as they were having a clear-out. Not sure what this was originally used for, probably a rack-mounted computer. Was thinking I'd use it but it's a bit too big so has lingered in storage once again. Not sure what it's made of, feels like a very tough, hard plastic. Has edge and corner protector and has a sprung handle on both sides. Also has two skid rails on the bottom. Some light scratches but no deep scratches, cracks or dents. As you can see from the pictures, it has foam blocks stuck to the inside for cushioning but if these are not right, I'm sure they can be replaced with more fitting ones. External dimensions: H: 31.5 cm W 67.5 cm D: 62.5 Internal dimensions will be about 0.5 to 1 cm less than the external ones. I would guess the weight is about 10-12Kg but can weigh it you really need to know. Would rather it was collected, as it's quite bulky. Can meet around the north M25 area for fuel money or around Essex, where I gig. If I have no luck with this, I'll consider couriers. Not after any trades, except for maybe a really good drive pedal. EDIT: maybe trade for a decent bass hard-case. 4. ^^ What he said. Fantastic amp. Kinda still wish I had mine. Hmmmm.....
5. Old thread but very interesting, as there's still pretty much nothing out there about this range. How are they a couple of months down the line? The official specs claim they can go really deep, to 22Hz, I believe. How true is that in your opinion?

Bought his EHX Bass Micro Synth. Next day special delivery and very well packaged. Good comms too. Nice one.
7. This is an amazing amp, I have the 350 and can vouch for that. Unbelievably powerful.
8. I am the previous owner and owned it from new. In the years I had it, it did a good hundred gigs (400+) with no problem or complaint. I only sold it because I upgraded to the Big Twin T. I can vouch for everything said above and for the seller himself, who I found to be excellent to deal with. I would only add that I put rubber feet on the bottom and sides, which they did not come with at the time. You're even getting a roqsolid cover for that price.
9. Will give this a try. Will also see if it's the act of loosening and re-tightening the string that has the effect by only 'shlapping' a couple of them.
10. +1 for Mackie SRM450v2, light, loud, very clear vocals and in your budget. We use a pair (version 2, which is lighter) for vocals and DJ music. When we do a bigger function we bring an active sub (with stereo in/output) that has a variable crossover that we plug the mackies: set it and forget it. Happy days. EDIT: just noticed that this is a revival of a fairly old thread. Would be nice to know from the OP what they went with.
11. Almost exactly like mine. Worth £750 of anyone's money. Have a bump on me.
12. Bought my Wizard P/J pickups. Great communication, very easy to deal with and no hassles at all.
13. Well done everyone involved. I've done it the last few years but this year I've decided to do the 'sober for October' in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, so would have been too much to ask friends and family to donate two months in a row. Been looking for a way to support Movember this year as no-one I know is doing it. Glad I spotted this, will be donating to OP.
14. Geek99 does indeed have first dibs. However, having messed about several times with this bass I don't want to take any chances. TBH, I took a chance on the Wizard P and it didn't work out so if I'm going to trade then it's got to be for one of the two pickups I've listed only. Other than that, just cash. Thanks for understanding.
15. Possibly.... How would you describe the sound? If it's the same as I'm after, then I'm certainly interested....
16. Traded my EMG P/J set for this Wizard Thumper P and 84 J. While I like the J, I'm not keen on the tone of the Thumper. I would describe the sound as slightly rolled off highs and boosted mids, so it's well named. Would only consider a trade for an original Fender '62 re-issue precision pickup or something that sounds more or less exactly like it, like a seymour duncan SPB-1. That traditional 'hollow grind' precision sound. Cash value £35 inc postage. Will get a pic up later.
17.
Thanks for this, another great bit of bass chatting ! Did you just leave the switch inside the cavity of drill through and mount it on the front? What was the effect (volume / tone) when you run on 18v mode?
Yes, I left the switch inside but there's no reason why you couldn't drill a small hole. You would have to use a small washer anyway, so that would cover any untidiness with. The tone was pretty much the same but the output was a bit bigger but it had a sharper attack. If you're into that hi-fi / EMG sound then its the next logical step. Don't know how 18V would affect the standard Lyte electronics but I shouldn't think there'd be a problem. I'm not sure you could have the two batteries and the switch if you wanted the magnetic control cover. It might just burst out, it was pretty crammed.
18. When I had the EMG active circuit in my P lyte, I had a wiring harness that would switch between 9V and 18V. The thinking was that with 18V there was more headroom and with 9V it lasted twice as long. It was snug but it all fit. No soldering required, plugs straight onto your existing harness where the battery would go. That's not what you asked but if you can't put a box in there and don't want to have it routed, it may be your next best option. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ATYRB5O
19. For sale is a complete EMG PJ pickups and BTS preamp system. All solderless, with all wires, springs, box, manual, etc present. No knobs included. The blend has EMG's Active Balance control, which is pretty cool. Work fine but just not for my thing. Well and truly a passives guy. In excellent shape apart from a barely visible tiny, tiny, dent on the front of the P pickup and a small chip on the side of the J, which is not visible from the front. See pictures. £125 posted and am including a procell battery to get you started. Would only trade for a really sweet set of passives. Something relatively high output. Either that or a Zoom B3. No other trades, please. 20. Doubt this will be around for long. If I were closer, I'd be seriously tempted!
21. Have got one and found 2 or 3 sounds that I use all the time and dialling them in is really easy and take literally a few seconds. Really is an amazing pedal and as tough as it looks. Paid full price new when they came out and never looked back, you can get practically any drive, distortion or fuzz sound out of this you can think of. This is a bargain!
