1. Just a though.... Would be willing to trade + cash adjustment for lightweight tuners . 11/16" (traditional size) peg holes.
2. First (and probably only) price drop. Not really in a hurry to sell this. Come and get a truly quality bass.
3. I used one of these for years and it's a fantastic amp for bass. In addition to the filter that bassman7755 pointed out, the other great feature for bass is the mono bridging at the flick of a switch (dip switch that is). It will also operate bridged into a 4 Ohm load and not even break a sweat.
4. Hi Liam85. Could you include a price please? It's not just a good idea, it's the rules
5.
Is it really THAT pink?
No, it's actually a 'vintage' white. Point taken though....
6. Up for sale is my lovely Jazz. A fine instrument, far beyond its 'budget' label, in terms of quality. It also has excellent wilkinson hardware as standard: the wilkinson jazz pickups are just amazing. The neck width is also a little wider than a regular jazz, almost precision. I really like that and it's more comfortable to play than you might think. Bought a couple of months ago off eBay out of curiosity. Haven't had a jazz for a while and wanted to have another go. Okay, I'm hooked again. Unfortunately, this beauty is too heavy for me to play for any length of time with my neck problems. I was hoping that the better balance afforded by the extended upper horn would not aggravate my neck pain but unfortunately, this is not so. By no means a heavy bass: about 4.4kg, just too heavy for me. I've since built a lightweight jazz, so this must now go. Want back what I paid for it, which was [s]£120[/s] £110. Would prefer collection/meetup from Enfield, Herts or Essex but could courier for an extra £15. Managed to find the original eBay listing and pinch the photos, most of which are pretty good. It's in exactly the same condition. EDIT: Forgot to mention that there's a couple of small dings along the top edge. Nothing serious and hasn't chipped the finish. Not visible from the front. 8. Bought a Hipshot HE6C from him. Good price for a practically new item and great comms and service. Perfect.
9. If you decide to split it for parts, would be interested in the pups.
10. I have one of these. What a fantastic bass, the pickups are really something special.
11. Might also want to stick something in 'items wanted', also in the basschat marketplace. You never know....
12. The paranoia was about being ignored, which is one of my bugbears, not about money. The lead time I was quoted (about 8 weeks) had long elapsed I simply wanted an update. I have it now. Actually didn't realize there was a contact number on the website, as it's been a few years since I looked at the 'contact us' page. I have had excellent customer service from Alex in the past and am a repeat customer because of it. Subject closed.
13. Only ask because I ordered one about 14 weeks ago and still don't have it. Last I heard about a month a half ago were that they were 'now being built'. I've tried emailing Alex a couple of times for an updated ETA over that month and a half (hardly nagging) and once through a PM on here a few days ago but have heard nothing back. Starting to think I'm being ignored, which is not a nice feeling. Telling myself not to be paranoid but I guess I'm just seeking reassurance here.
14. Bought my old hi-fi system. Came round when he said he would and with the agreed sum. A thoroughly pleasant chap.
15. I know I'm pushing the boundaries of 'musically related' but I think it's still acceptable We have here some incredibly high-quality hi-fi equipment, that belies the 'budget' tag it was given. You only have to do a web search on these to see that they're highly regarded and still sought-after. The amp is (I think) sweedish designed and build in Taiwan or something like that. Rated at a modest 150, it's still powerful enough to fill a fairly big room with very high quality audio. The speakers are 2-way reflex loaded and also highly regarded. Together they produce a sound and volume that still surprises me. A bit of rust on the underside of the amp is the only issue but this cannot be seen when in use and does not affect the sound. Was in boxes in cupboards for about 10 years but recently got it out to use and they work as well as ever. Space is a bit of an issue at the moment and don't use it as much as I thought I would so seeing if anyone else can make better use. Am including high-quality speaker cables and "cambridge audio" double phono lead to connect it to something. All this for £60 or very near offer. Collection / meet up is preferred from Herfordshire, Enfield or Essex but will box them up if you want to arrange your own courier. 16. If anyone has the AC (active, with humbuckers) version of this, would be interested in a trade. Particularly interested in the gloss black model.
17. Could certainly do a lot worse. LMK if you decide to go for it.
18. Frustratingly, the sale fell through. However, I've given it a setup and it plays very nicely. So here are some pics:
19. Ordered one of these supposedly 'Ex-demo' basses and got sent two by mistake, so I'm selling one. Can't find any evidence that they were ever used, apart from a little of the black paint missing from the top edge of the bridge. It's this one: http://www.peavey.co...04%20TransBlack It doesn't have exposed pole pieces. There also seems to be a slight greenish tinge but that might be because of the figured quilt maple top and maybe the office strip lights. The action is a little high, so will need a setup. I live in Enfield, work in Hertfordshire and gig in Essex, so collection/meeting is more than possible, so save on delivery. Not sure it's worth getting couriers involved. £80 excluding delivery. How's that for a bargain? Would also trade for a really great set of Jazz pickups to put in the one I'm keeping. Not interested in basses, unless they're a lightweight jazz or an Ibanez SR. EDIT: I guess some pictures would help. Weird, can't seem to attach files: "Error No file was selected for upload". Will email them to anyone interested until it's fixed.
