1. Bloody hell, how did I miss this?? I've been on the lookout for (a light) one of these for a while now....
2. Grooved and an ever-so-small amount of corrosion, hence £40 posted.
3. Bought a pair of these from Moos3h a few weeks ago but they're so good that just one in combination with my Compact is way OTT. Also, am way over what I can physically store at my house! The cabinet is a Peavey Eurosys III PA cab and is surprisingly light! Not to mention has great projection. It has the tweeter in place but no crossover. The driver is Fane Sovereign 15-600LF. It's more than capable of reproducing all the really useful frequencies most bass players need without the aid of a tweeter. http://www.faneinternational.com/prod_details.aspx?pid=197 Moos3h was selling one of these for £60 collected but make me a very close offer and we'll see... Apologies to Moos3h for pinching his photos. Original thread here.

5.
hey sorry to be a bass newby thicky but what do you mean by 'prose' ? is it a Fender jazz MIM, MIJ ? the mods are with the active pick ups yes? - what was the reason for changing them? is it heavy and would be suitable for small hands? thanks
I wouldn't mind knowing the weight either.... Willing to post?
6.
Bump.
PM'd
7.
You need any bits and bobs? Can do a swap?
Should have known you spot this eventually, I know you're partial to this pickup! Not sure I need anything really. What you got in mind / have lying about?
8.
Would you split? I might be interested in the P pup.
Maybe.... Depends if there's interest in the NJ4 or lack of interest in the complete set. If so, would look at selling each for £47, to cover for increased postage cost.
9. Although I'm not in a hurry to sell this, recently sold 80's Arias on here seem to have gone at around the £180 - £200 mark. I will re-price this to £180 and see what happens.
10. This came pre-installed in a hand-made bass from the US I bought a year and a half ago (the TBC in my avatar). I contacted Nordstrand to make sure they were the real deal and they confirmed they were. However, They did not say whether the J pickup was the NJ4SV or NJ4SE. I've made a guess that it's the NPJ4SE as that's what's being offered as a set on eBay. The bass manufacturer put extra shielding on the bottom of the P pickup, in the form of copper tape. As for what it sounds like, well I'll go for 'modern' as it doesn't sound much like the pickup in my '62 re-issue P bass or the Wilkinson P I replaced it with. It's quite powerful and 'dark' sounding and I just prefer the more traditional P sound. Took out the J pickup just to sell as a set, although I actually really like it; it has the characteristics described on the Nordstand site for the NJ4SE: "The natural character of this design is to have a more pronounced lower midrange, and a slightly muted high end. This makes them exceptionally suited to fingerstyle players who are going for a solo bridge pickup sound with good 'bark' and 'heft'." Not sure about price: they seem to be on sale on eBay for £155 (pre import duty) and these are in great condition, so how about £80 inc postage to mainland UK. Edit: to say which bass the pickups came in.
11. Wow, that's a great price! Used to have a soundgear and it was very light and comfortable to play. Mine had the more traditional P pickup configuration. I imagine being that way around, the E and A strings sound not quite as deep/round/whatever but tighter?
12. Bought a pair of Peavey hisys 3 PA cabs, adapted for bass use. Much better (and lighter!) than expected. Bought as add-ons for my barefaced compact but were easily good enough to be used on their own. Even let me try them out at one of my gigs! Can't recommend highly enough.
13.
Cabs back up for sale with healthy price drop due to ebay timewaster!
Mine now. Ridiculously good cabs for the money. I now have a modular 3x15" rig: I'm just so damnend old-school it hurts (mainly the audience).
14. Gosh, that's lovely. Will anyone get the hump if I say it looks like a warwick? If it had frets, would seriously think about parting with cash. Anyone got a fretted neck for this?
15. Now on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130425350531
16.
Will consider PX's for a 300w or greater amp head!
Hah! Who's the nutter now?
17.
Thanks - hoping it can find a good home
Looks good, am tempted. Do you have any power output specs?
18. Bump with final price drop. Can deliver at cost between North London and Essex. Give me a shout, we'll work something out.
