I know I'm pushing the boundaries of 'musically related' but I think it's still acceptable We have here some incredibly high-quality hi-fi equipment, that belies the 'budget' tag it was given. You only have to do a web search on these to see that they're highly regarded and still sought-after. The amp is (I think) sweedish designed and build in Taiwan or something like that. Rated at a modest 150, it's still powerful enough to fill a fairly big room with very high quality audio. The speakers are 2-way reflex loaded and also highly regarded. Together they produce a sound and volume that still surprises me. A bit of rust on the underside of the amp is the only issue but this cannot be seen when in use and does not affect the sound. Was in boxes in cupboards for about 10 years but recently got it out to use and they work as well as ever. Space is a bit of an issue at the moment and don't use it as much as I thought I would so seeing if anyone else can make better use. Am including high-quality speaker cables and "cambridge audio" double phono lead to connect it to something. All this for £60 or very near offer. Collection / meet up is preferred from Herfordshire, Enfield or Essex but will box them up if you want to arrange your own courier. Frustratingly, the sale fell through. However, I've given it a setup and it plays very nicely. So here are some pics: -

Ordered one of these supposedly 'Ex-demo' basses and got sent two by mistake, so I'm selling one. Can't find any evidence that they were ever used, apart from a little of the black paint missing from the top edge of the bridge. It's this one: http://www.peavey.co...04%20TransBlack It doesn't have exposed pole pieces. There also seems to be a slight greenish tinge but that might be because of the figured quilt maple top and maybe the office strip lights. The action is a little high, so will need a setup. I live in Enfield, work in Hertfordshire and gig in Essex, so collection/meeting is more than possible, so save on delivery. Not sure it's worth getting couriers involved. £80 excluding delivery. How's that for a bargain? Would also trade for a really great set of Jazz pickups to put in the one I'm keeping. Not interested in basses, unless they're a lightweight jazz or an Ibanez SR. EDIT: I guess some pictures would help. Weird, can't seem to attach files: "Error No file was selected for upload". Will email them to anyone interested until it's fixed.

USA FENDER JAZZ BASS, 1998 **ON HOLD PENDING**

Bought it from the US on eBay a month or so ago. Here's the text from the original ebay auction details "This auction is for one Used Custom Jazz Bass Loaded Body, Light Weight, High Quality, Replacement 2012/2013 Paulownia Solid Wood Body, Cherry Burst, in excellent condition, a couple of light short scratches on the back of the body. They would not show up in photo after photo, but, they are there. Weighs as shown 3 pounds 12.75 ounces. I used Fender Squire Standard pickups, controls & misc. hardware, except for the pickup guard and control knobs which are Fender Squier Vintage Modified. Paulownia is a light weight, warp free, wood also used to make surf boards; because of its strength, the surf boards do not need the fiber glass outer strength layer. Neck Pocket 2 7/16 inch wide, 3 1/16 long, & 11/16 deep." I've measured the neck pocket and at its widest point it's 63mm and 18.5mm deep. When I first held it, it felt like I was holding a big bit of Styrofoam, it's so light. The pictures don't do it justice; it's lovely looking. As for condition I've managed to put a couple of small scratches on the back while trying to mounting the neck (also for sale). Also a tiny amount of damage to one of the neck screw holes which is completely hidden by a neck plate and has no effect whatsoever. Have neither the skill nor inclination to complete this project. Although it cost me £150 to get it here, realistically I'd like £120 for it fully loaded, £100 for just the body. Prices include postage. The bits are worth more than the difference but it's agg to strip them out and sell individually. Feel free to make me a reasonable offer. As for trades or P/X, I'm after a lightweight jazz bass. Around 8lbs, less would be nice. Doesn't have to be anything fancy.

Bought some Wilkinson machine heads off me. Fast and smooth transaction, good comms. Perfect.

I've had a go at mounting this in a body but I have neither the skill nor the patience for it, as you'll see by the pig's ear I've made of it. It's actually not a bad neck, though not particularly light weight. Not especially heavy either. I've had a couple of goes, as you can see from the multiple holes, so you may or may not need to drill them out and fill them. The screws provided will fit snugly in a set of the holes, should your neck line up with them. The bass of the neck is filed down (both sides) to fit a 63mm neck pocket but the fretboard is not, so will not look odd if it's fitted to a slightly bigger neck pocket. The machine heads, string tee and neck plate/screws are included. [s]£45[/s] £30 inc. delivery or very near offer. As for trades, I'd only be interested in a complete and very light-weight jazz bass. Around 8lbs only, please.

Bought these very recently from the bass doc but turns out the back plates are just a bit too big for the headstock I wanted to put them on and the last two slightly 'peeked' over the top. Got smaller ones that don't. These are great quality machine heads with a traditional solid shaft, instead of concave. Open gear with the wilkinson logo stamped on the back. Not much else to say other than I'll also include the bushings and mounting scews. Want what I paid for them, which was £12 delivered. Pay by bank transfer or paypal gift. Another GK 212MBE / Neo 212-II / Cabinet Size Question
Sharkfinger replied to Sharkfinger's topic in Amps and Cabs
Well, that certainly answers the question in regards to the build quality of the two GK cabs, thanks. What I'd still like to know the answer to is the question of enclosure size. All things being equal, does the larger enclosure of the Neo give it an advantage over the MBE?
