1. Was looking at a mercedes ML because of the load space, family friendliness and higher seating position. Got something in mind?
2.
What car stuff do you need?
A new one
3. You wait ages for a bus and two come along at the same time. Yes, another Big Twin for sale! Essentially a full range (sub lows to tweeter highs) cab with dedicated mid driver to cut through the mix. It's just immense sounding. I bought this new nearly a year and a half ago. I do about a hundred gigs a year, so this has done between 130 and 150 gigs. It's had a Roqsolid cover (included) which has kept it reasonably protected but there are always going to be signs of wear after that many gigs. Other than the odd chip (coloured in with black marker) along the bottom edge and the wear to the handles, there is a crack along the left side where the port is. I fixed this under instruction from Alex Claber a few months ago and has been absolutely fine. Probably as strong as it was before. The paint chipped off, exposing the wood underneath (with a coating of glue) but I can colour this black if it really bothers anyone. I think I've priced it fairly, bearing the condition in mind. Now, I bought a Roland D-Bass 210 combo a couple weeks ago for smaller gigs but it's so good that I haven't needed to use the BT since. I was going to keep this for bigger gigs but some car stuff has come up and being a bit short of cash, I unfortunately can't keep hold of this. Full specs here: http://barefacedbass...nge/big-one.htm Here's a summary of the specs: Dimensions 36" high x 21" wide x 16" deep 90cm x 53cm x 40cm Weight 57 lbs (26kg) BROADBAND Sensitivity 98dB - similar to a conventional boutique 2x12" USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE 30Hz - 22kHz Recommended Amp Power 300-1500W RMS Maximum LF & BROADband Output 127dB -similar to a high quality 6x10" or 4x12" but with bigger lows Nominal Impedance 4 ohms Price £725. I'm open to sensible offers but no trades, please, need the cash for car stuff. Can courier and I estimate the fee will be around £30-40 for UK mainland delivery. I can deliver/meet up for fuel cost anywhere from central Hertfordshire to East Essex and I'd prefer this. Payment by Paypal gift (you pay the fees), bank transfer or cash on collection. 4. Some feedback in Haiku: Great product, works well Communication good too I recommend him
5. Damn, I'm sorely tempted by these. Don't suppose you're down south any time soon?
6. I'm interested in the cab too. I will, of course, form an orderly queue behind richardd.
7. Amazing amps these (I have the 350W version) . Dial in just about any tone you need and incredible power and headroom. Also every feature you could possibly need in a bass amp. It puts most modern amps to shame.
8. A simply incredible cab and a dang good price. I waited 5 months for mine and it was worth it. Cheaper price, no wait. Why wait? Buy this cab now!
9. The power amp may be heavy but the power output is astounding. People aren't impressed by the 300W my TE head puts out. Then they hear it. On Mars.
10. Damn, that's a fine looking bass!
11. Reduced to £35. Last chance before fleabay. Also added trade options.
12. Any idea of the weight? I know it's not lightweight
13. EDIT: I'm Removing this post, not appropriate for a sale thread.

15.
I use a contour in a loud rock band & I find I have to crank it to keep up. It's loud enough but just lacking the headroom if you know what I mean. The limiter was lighting up more than I would of liked but if you compress your signal a bit it sorts that out. You could add the extension cab & it's a completely different animal then but defeats the object somewhat.
Sounds like it's going full pelt to keep up. Not ideal. Seeing as the Fender Rumble V3 is based on the contour (correct me if I'm wrong), it may be prone to the same thing. That leaves the ashdown. Perhaps I should be looking at one without a switched mode power supply, maybe that's the problem.
16. I wouldn't mind some advice on this, as I might be in a similar boat as the OP. Looking for a combo to downsize from my TE head / BF Big Twin. Need something that can keep up with a fairly noisy rock band with 2 guitards and a loud drummer. Sounds like a lot to ask. Ideally something 25KG or under and physically smaller than my BF cab. Looking to go in-ear for my monitoring, so mainly for FOH and the lower register stuff on-stage. Hope that makes sense and sorry if I'm thread-jacking. Edit: Those GB combos are getting quite hard to find, so it looks like a shoot-out between the GB contour (if I can find one), the Fender Rumble 500 (V3) and the Ashdown RM-MAG-C210T.
17. If it's any help, I use an electro-harmonix 5751 gold in place of a 12AX7 in my trace head and it has that lovely gentle valve break up. I'm able to blend solid state and valve preamps and have the valve at about 2 thirds. Fair amount of clean headroom and a good all-rounder IMO.
18.
Like spaghetti growing on trees.
That has to be 100% true. It was on TV!
19. I too was fooled until I looked at the pic. Am I an even greater fool for thinking a BF combo is actually not a bad idea? I would certainly look very seriously at buying something like that if it were priced right.
20. Forgot to mention that the lid is hinged at one side with straps that only allow it to open at slightly more than 90 degrees to keep it open. Feel free to make offers. Oh and bump.
