  1. I bought an AER Amp 2 for double bass duties and it sounds epic. I have a Radial Pz pre that I sometimes use but this is optional as it sounds great just going direct to the amp (1 mohm input). Sorry but I don't agree that it's not voiced for DB as it works very well with mine. Oh and it also works very well with my electric basses. A true one amp solution. I wouldn't hesitate in buying the AER basic performer that's up for sale in bass direct. I assume the 2 input stages offer a doubling solution for electric & DB?
  2. Didn't they also do a Lemmy and a Chris Squire sig bass?
  3. One thing that REALLY winds me up is when product reviewers refer to the item as a Bad Boy!
  4. Indeed - just bought a couple myself from designacable through Amazon. VERY impressed and very reasonable prices too!! https://www.amazon.co.uk/designacable/s?k=designacable
  5. I have just sold my Panda Midi Future Impact 1 bass synth pedal to Cameron. Great comms throughout and immediate payment. I would not hesitate in dealing with Cameron again. Deal with in confidence folks. Thanks Cameron and I hope you enjoy your FI.
  6. Just had a very pleasant and hassle free transaction with Mark. I have sold him my Roland UM-One midi/USB interface for him to start exploring the more in-depth sonic possibilities that exist in his Future Impact bass synth pedal. Have fun with that Mark, it's a great bit of kit. Great comms, instant payment and I would not hesitate to deal with him again. Deal with upmost confidence. Cheers Mark
  7. Replied & now sold. Thank you!
  8. I have sold my Future Impact so my Roland UM-One midi to USB interface is surplus to requirements. I have listed it for sale in the 'Other Musically Related Items For Sale' section.
  9. I bought this a couple of months ago to start editing the sounds in the Future Impact synth pedal which I have since sold. It worked perfectly for this application. I have used this once and it is now surplus to requirements. It comes in its original packaging. New these are around £30. Price includes postage to UK addresses. Here is a link: http://my.roland.com/products/um-one_mk2/
  10. I love bass synth. I have owned a Novation bass station 2 but sold it on as i'm a bass player and didn't have enough hands to play both on a gig. I then bought a Future Impact. Great pedal. The problem is that the band i'm in now doesn't require (or suit) synth sounds. I can't justify keeping the FI for home noodling so expect my FI to appear in the effects for sale section soon! There....now I've said it, i'd better do something about it.
  11. Reminds me of a stylyophone (ask your parents - older members should ask their kids).
  12. Motorhead were a 3 piece in their heyday. Overkill may go down well in the Dog and Duck.
  13. Oh....Well done Pete, that's just killed the thread. Nothing more to see here, move along please! On a serious note, this is the right answer. Awesome cabs and no need to the sub. The RCF 745a is even better!
  14. Joker and the Thief by Wolfmother - we play this and it goes down well even though it's not that well known.
  15. The Roland UM One mk 2 is a usb midi interface and it works perfectly with the FI. Other more expensive options are also available.
  16. Roland UM One mk2. Around £30 and works perfectly.
  17. So poplar is errrm....popular
  18. I have the same bass and it's superb. How did you balance the pickups? Did you lower the bridge pickup or raise the height of the neck pickup or a combination of both? I need to do the same with mine.
  19. Oh dear....never played in Liverpool before and we have 2 gigs coming up - one at Flanagans as mentioned above and one at the Peaky Blinders bar. Looking forward to both apart from the logistics. Played in Manchester city centre a few times and they were a nightmare. Great gigs though!
  20. I keep coming back for a look at this. I played a new one in Forsyth's Manchester a few months ago and it was a beautiful instrument. Love the matt antique finish and the wood grain.
  21. I also have the f-its. Can't speak highly enough about them. Yes, they're £65 but once they're bought, they're bought and they'll last a lifetime. Perfect fit (so long as you take a little care with the rubbing). They also come in handy for quiet practice at home as they lower the overall volume acoustically......errr obviously lol. Great product and the guy who owns the company is very helpful.
