1.
Yep, the BS2 will nail those sounds and you can use the arpeggiator to get the fast 16ths.
Perfect - thanks for that. The less said about my current bands taste in material the better!
 2. I'm also looking into getting hold of a synth and the Bass Station 2 looks as though it will meet my needs. I'm trying to achieve this... I assume that the BS2 will give me this sound and that I can't do this with a pedal? I also need to replicate this sound... Thanks in advance.
 3. A very wise choice - enjoy your new bass! I'm very envious!
 4.
Just adding a bit of tension to the chord before resolving it, therefore surely intentional?
Oohh....well played sir! I like that explanation. Unfortunately I was adding tension for the whole of the first verse!
 5. On another occasion, one of our guitarists started in the wrong key. I twigged it straight away and transposed on the fly. The other guitarist looked totally confused when he came in so swapped to his back up guitar thinking that his main guitar had gone out of tune. This also sounded wrong. He was still fiddling with his tuner at the end of the song when we had a chance to tell him. We fell about laughing about this one!
 6. Started a song at a gig last weekend in the wrong key. This is a song we've been playing for ages and it starts on an F sharp. Started it in F. What a knob!
 7.
Ah, I remember when Neil put that up for sale. Wished I had bought at the time. Lovely looking bass and I'm sure it sounds the part as well.
I was contemplating buying this very bass when Neil had it up for sale (through Andy Baxter if I recall). Got in touch with Andy and it had just been sold. That'll teach me to dither! Ended up buying an HSS version with a maple board. Cracking bass! This is Musicman at their very best. The quality is very apparent on all Musicman basses but these are another level up IMHO. Whoever buys this won't be disappointed. Had mine up for sale a couple of times when I've been stretched financially as it's the only thing I own of any value. Happily I've always been able to withdraw it when the situation eased. GLWTS.
 8. This is what I would be going for (I have no association with the seller). http://basschat.co.uk/topic/302520-fender-tony-franklin-fretless-p-bass-sunburst/page__p__3294259__hl__tony%20franklin__fromsearch__1#entry3294259
 9.
Hi, Is Bass still for sale?.
Hi, I have decided to withdraw this from sale. My financial situation has improved which means I can keep hold of this bass.
 10. Impressed - that lad's got talent in spades!
 11.
When your not changing in the toilets 😀
People get changed to play?
 12.
Sounds good to me Peter. I left the whole giggling scene behind years ago and now I play along with things in my own little world - no setting up, no annoying landlords, no disappointing venues or carrying drum hardware across a car park in the rain. Just 100% escapism.
But, when it all comes together t can be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience - when you've set up and the sound check goes well, the landlord is welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic about having your band on, the venue meets expectations and there is a good crowd in that are up for it and you're carrying drum hardware across a car park whilst the sun is shining. The above does happen sometimes and when it does, it's fantastic.
 13. I've just sold my Zoom B9.1UT multi effects unit to Andy and I couldn't have hoped for a smoother more friendly transaction. Andy is a couple of hundred miles away so contact was made on here then by telephone. Our quick conversation lasted around half an hour. Enjoyed setting the World to rights and chatting about bass. Good comms throughout the process and quick payment. Deal with in confidence chaps. Hope you enjoy your new pedal Andy & thanks.

 18. Diago Pedalboard: Sold Zoom B9.1UT: Sold I bought these new and they are still in as new condition due to them hardly being used. Everything functions exactly as it should. 19.
For slapping purposes, could you please tell me the minimum distance between the neck pickup and the neck? Is shipping to hungary possible? Thanks!
The distance from the end of the fretboard (where the 'wheel of fortune' for trussrod adjustment is located to the front of the neck pickup cover is around 40mm based upon my measuring tape reading skills. I've never had a problem with slapping on this bass (although to be fair I don't tend to play slap that often). If you have any concerns or you play a lot of slap bass, maybe it would be best to go for something with a wider gap e.g. a single Humbucker Stingray? I don't really want to ship abroad due to customs and money transfer complications and I'm also not sure how strict the UK or Hungarian import rules are concerning the recent changes to CITES which I believe now includes Rosewood.
