Installing LEDs when making a guitar is easy. What about retrofitting them? Retrofitting is actually a more sensible option because if an LED should fail, just try and remedy that with easy. With a retrofit, the LED comes out using the technique it went in with. If you cut a route before attaching the fingerboard into a channel, you try and fix that without major headaches. At the moment, you are talking theory. The brass tubing and fibre optic is industry standard - got any examples of your work?

They all have their own very distinct tones.

I think the thread has gone slightly sidewise... yes, there are worse singers out there, bands which are less tight and so on - my point was just the abnoxious slap bass playing that is completely inappropriate for the tune.

The little 1x10 and 1x12 neo boxes just don't work imo - as born to be loud mentioned, fart city.

Getting a luthier to reprofile/skim the neck is a good option - especially as modern musicman necks are not lacquered - should make for a cheap job as the finish is down to fine grit sandpaper as opposed to a polyester top coat. Take a neck that you do like the feel of and any luthier worth their salt should sort you out no problem.
