3. just one ring of coloured electrical tape around the handle doesn't look too bad Or you could do what i did, leave one in front of an electric fire until the burnt plastic bubbles up.. thats how i tell between them

7. I sold the same bass for £170 on ebay on a .99p start bid auction
8. Fair enough.. Just to maintain my credibility on this thread... i recently transcribed Green Day's "wake me up when september ends" for a student
9. Yeah.. don't mess otherwise a moderator will stick up for me only kidding I'm blessed with the memory of an elephant, so its very rare i write anything down, if i do, is a random stream of chords symbols, rhythm marks and the swear words lol.
Not true at all - a few words of wisdom from Mr Gary Willis: "I did a lot of transcribing. I wasn't very good at the notation side, but eventually got there. You're better off staying away from transcribing bass players, they tend to stick to things that bass players can do, imagine that. The main thing is to transcribe with the goal of not having to write it out but have it translate directly to you instrument." Whatever it takes to actually PLAY the stuff - rather than 'know more than you can show' - is surely what transcribing is ultimately all about? Just my opinion anyway. Mike
10. Currently learning all of jamiroquais high times.. not writing it down though. man i need a regular gig
11. theres a pair of aguilar 12's on ebay at the moment.. i thought the lm2 had two outputs? the combo heads do, one jack and one speakon
12. love them or hate them.. Italia
13. PMT in birmingham suggested we have the entire range into the rehearsal studio i work at.. we declined
14. Had a good chance to try it all out today... very very impressed. The 1x15 is actually very good, and so so so light! Works well standing up and lying on its side, but not so good in the kick back configuration. The horn control is good, can go from zingy to quite vintagey sounding. The 2x10 is also very light, not sure if i'd be comfortable using it on its own, but with the 15 it works really nicely. Putting both cabs on their side and stacking them is the best config i think. Only bad point, the 1x15 has yellow piping, which looks ace, but the 2x10 has black piping, which ruins the effect.
15. I came across this when i was scouting for patch ideas for my Moog http://www.bassplayer.com/article/men-mirr...ary-2010/107259 Quite a good read
16. I had a quick play earlier today. First impressions that its a nice thin sort of rig, but still quite tall. The 2x10 is bright and chirpy, not overly impressed by the 15 though.. but i'm gonna spend some more time with it saturday, so maybe i can be a little more constructive..
17. although i cant remember the weight..
18. Genz Benz GBE750 - i think my old one is still for sale secondhand in the bass gallery. Does all that
19. my dad is a main dealer for dynacord gear, we use it ourselves. Well made stuff, and great sounding too. I had an lx2200 power amp for my rig for a short while.. was great, but ended up selling it because it was far too powerful.
20. Good Man! If anything, get another 2x12 lol
21. Sell it here on basschat, then if worst comes to worst ebay it! Any idea what you want for it? what are you looking to replace it with?
22. I haven't heard much about these cabs, i saw the 1x12's in bass direct and wasn't too interested.. Anyway, my Dad has informed me he has just ordered a 2x10 and 1x15 into the shop, and a little mark to power it, with the idea of selling it as a compact stack. I'm actually excited to try it out So i'll post some thoughts, hopefully it will arrive today or tommorrow
23. i was there... behind the sound desk though so i'm no gonna waste time looking for myself lol!
