1. Hi there one and all..... Good to be Back! Have you missed me????? Why cant I access the for sale bit and wheres the japcrap thread.??????????????????????????????
 2. Right then anyone got £650 readies or a nice Fender blues in tweed with a few quid my way.. Real nice condition Marshall combo with 1x12 in blue with 1x12 extension cab.. The amp is the 92 anniversary in blue, the cab is a slightly later edition. Just been serviced as it had been in storage for many years and the crunch channel(2) volume pot was dry....this is now sorted. 2 of the 12AX-7 valves were replaced as although OK the guy who done the work felt the Electro harmonix that my son put in were not really the ones requiured for this amp so he replaced them with others he felt to be correct( I have the 2 removed and they are included, they are as new just in his words a bit bright) Comes with 3 channel footswitch and instruction manual.. Collection only from Hertfordshire Any trial welcomed at sensible times, this one is loud..
 3.
Good idea but where can I get some ebony sawdust?
You buy a piece of ebony and then you sand it with FLOUR grade paper,,,its a pain in the arse to do...or put in an abalone feature??? Or if you are a lazy bugger like me P38 car filler its a winner and will take a stain GOOD LUCK
 4.
bump
£90 any good
 5.
well my only time getting stung I listed it with P&P at the cheapest rate but had all that in the ad. Paypal and Ebay went against me saying it was all my responsibility . Basically said that it was up to the seller to get the item there in one piece and covered regardless of how the buyer wants it done.. So now I only list it with insurance or pick up only.
Ebay will take a back seat and leave it all to PAYPAL.......................SO long as the evidence is CLEAR they will support you under seller protection...I had a case where they supported me as a buyer and the seller neither of us lost anything and I got my money back and a free Gibson mandolin...Work that one out???? I find GUMTREE & PRELOVED much better it may not give the amount of exposure you get with EB but enquiries are usually good for a sale..and fairly local
 6.
Word of warning if you send it non insured because the buyer wanted the cheapie option and it gets there damaged your the one out of pocket. Basically because of the T&Cs it's your responsibility until they get it. Regardless of how the buyer wants it sent and for how much. You're actually leaving yourself open for a dodgy buyer to fleece you.
You are both right and also incorrect... I now include my terms in all my ads for High end instruments.................YOU NEED TO MAKE IT STAND OUT TOO. OFFER UNINSURED AT BUYERS RISK or INSURED AT BUYERS COST.......Its not cheap and will lose you sales.. I am packing in ebaying instruments and will be becoming a Gumtree & Preloved subscriber as well as an odd one or 2 here
 7.
I got my first upright bass delivered this morning. It's a 3/4 size solid top job from a company selling on the internet (will remain nameless for now). There have been good reviews on here and elsewhere, so to be honest, I'm really disappointed that it's damaged. The crack is about 2" long, and judging by the discolouration of the crack itself, must have been there before the instrument was stained. I know very little about acoustic upright basses, so have no real idea how serious a crack of this nature is, or the costs involved in repairing, or at least stabilising it. The company have offered me a £50 refund, which I have rejected. I'm awaiting a response from them, but in the meantime, I would value your opinions and comments as to my options. Ewan
The cracks not that bad...I would worry about the great big hole just above it...
 8. This is a truly Awesome Guitar it plays sounds out of this world and sustains forever !!! And at £1100 thats a massive saving.... Completely custom built by Andy Viccars www.andyviccarscustoms.co.uk All the things we like about Gibsons and the result is a truly amazing guitar built over a period of nearly a year. The guitar has been made using only the very best quality in woods found in the Gibson Supreme models that retail at around £4000 + Everything on the guitar has been done by hand from the shaping and carving of the Mahogany wood and Maple cap to the hand cut genuine Abalone inlays, even the pickups are Bare Knuckle Riff Raff hand made pick ups (http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/pickups.php?cat=humbuckers&sub=vintage&pickup=riff_raff) The guitar whieghs in at just over 8lbs The pickups are tapped by being wired with a push-push pot on one of the tone controls. The neck profile is chunky based on the 50's neck profile (more wood more sustain) and utilises chunky frets. The tuners are vintage Grover Deluxe tuners (for more stability in keeping in tune than Klusons) The finish is based on the early Les Pauls with the tear drop style fade over the tobacco burst and of course this was done using Nitro cellulose. The truss rod cover is a genuine 1965 Gibson Custom cover. The headstock bares the makers logo in Abalone and a gold leaf water transfer The guitar is also fitted with straplocs and has never had a scratch plate fitted so no unsightly holes but you can always add one if you wish. Included with the guitar is a Tan Les Paul pink lined guitar case. I welcome anyone to come and try the guitar if they so wish and if you have any questions you can email

 12.
Sounds like a sex toy and something to "improve" yourself.
Be serious !!!!!!! If it were it would have gone by now.....the bass player never gets the nice chick!!
 13.
Keeping options open. I'm considering a mini-humbucker in the neck and I will also at some point try a middle SC as well. The fish tank would look funny - I'm going to bear that in mind (not with REAL fish though!). The clear scratchplate is so that I can drop pictures of choice behind it, I'm not planning on keeping the clear look - well, unless the fish thing is a goer .... Nice Tele's you have there!
Or on an aquatic theme....a diving board and a pair of action man legs sticking up from the bottom of the cavity....its only 1oclock and Im on pint 5

 15. Not sure how severe this "distressing" is likely to be, but I'm sorely tempted to turn the bass into an unofficial Dennis Dunaway signature model anyway:
Its not so much bad as amatuer....sandpaper gouging of the extreme variety......it could be enhanced with the use of a pickaxe and lighter fluid... Its a good solid body no issues otherwise and none of the papering has affected the contours etc....pots possibly may need looking at....sort of tested the pups as in ad there was noise....chances are they are good to go.. Send me pics once reborn Nicely packaged and will be sent tommorrow morning courtesy of MrsT
