Want to clear stuff out (don't need to, but want to - go figure). This is something I love but don't get to use very often so am willing to let it go. Want to recoup most of my costs on it so feel £450 is a reasonable price (plus P&P or you can collect from Nottingham for free - I'm right beside one of the M1 Junctions).

If you have to ask... :)

In brief (not briefs :)) you stand on the board, the pump powers it, it feels like your playing your bass through a dance club sub without the typically accompanying deafness.

It works like this: the Board is a platform with what can be described as the inside of a speaker (minus the cone) inside it. It's large and flat, but only an inch or two thick. The Pump is an amp that powers it. The user (yikes!) stands on it during operation and their instrument signal is routed through the Pump, which in turn drives the mass inside the board (the speaker bit I mentioned), which couples the bass frequencies you can feel into you. It is amazing, particularly with headphones on or in limited volume venues. Make sense? PM me if you want more info or are tempted by it and want to give it a whirl.

I'll look up the website once I'm home! I'm not exactly going to search for 'pleasure pump' on Google whilst at work...

Thank you for the explanation, never heard of anything like that before and I bet it's an amazing experience.
I only play in churches so it would be a bit wasted on me.

Good luck with the sale tho'

Hi folks, after exchanging a few PMs with mcgraham, and doing a bit of research I thought it might be useful to others to know more too. For those looking for more info on these, there seems to be relatively little out there in english, but there are a few reviews and opinions in foreign magazines and forums.

The only manuals that I could find were in german on the tecamp website , but google translate helps a lot.

Note that although the board & pump don't appear to be available to the UK, there are some dealers on the continent still selling them for Euro 590 + 790, so about £1,212!

A comprehensive review can be found here in the original german:

Translated (note, the click-though links to the subsequent pages should be translated automatically too)

There is a video of the board in action with 2 glasses of water, one on top, one next to it showing that if you put a huge vibration through the board, it is completely isolated from its surroundings.

CONCLUSION
TecAmp offers Pleasure Board and pumping a highly professional, specialized solution for the bassist, who runs frequently in-ear monitoring, or in low volume situations not want to do without feeling the pressure of the low-frequency vibrations. The rubber-mounted shaker surface decouples the vibration successfully nebengeräuscharm of the ground and thus the stage floor. While the price of Pleasure Board and Pleasure Pump added (1.350, - €) is higher than for example the DIY package of Butt Kicker (730, - $ U.S.) - but now let's face it: This can not be compared. The TecAmp solution offers practical road use in highest quality, tailored specifically to the needs of bass players. The headphone jack I would replace it with a second speaker jack. A headphone port on the platform I think is unnecessary. A speaker port on the side, alternative to the connector on the bottom, I think, however essential.

I should add that the amp on its own is a pretty good sounding bit of kit. I think it's basically similar to a tecamp puma but heavier and with simpler eq, it wont do super super highs but it does sound good for driving powered wedges or, with the high cut filter, subs of some kind
