1. sorry was hoping for a little more.. also not sure your offer would cover the amount of stamps i'd need
would you include p+p in my offer ?
2. Well its hanging up in a shop im friendly with for 749, not sure it'll fetch that though so as i said open to offers
Hello, if you put it for sale, you have to place a price for it. Good sale
3. Hey Everyone! I have a fender american Deluxe jazz in cherry burst, featuring two noiseless jazz pickups, 3 band eq etc.... comes with a choice of hiscox bass centre case or a fender one. I got this bass in a deal, was gonna keep it, but thought moving it on might be a good idea.. Condition is ok, a few knocks in the paint.. has been recently set up and strings are fairly new. these are over 1599 retail now, so if anyone is interested let me know.. Just not sure what it is worth really Help me out? J
 4. Yeah i have stacked nordstrand humbuckers in my shuker jazz bass.. dont think they fit a normal jazz space though, but they would be well worth the routing
Haven't stacked jazz style humbuckers been around for a few years now?
5. i did look for the aquilar pre... really enjoyed playing through one with a qsc power amp. Have managed to get a glockenklang cheap(ish) so i'll see how i get on with that... just need some cabs now, i'm off to the for sale forum
If I were going for a pre/power amp set-up, I'd try and source a DB680 for a bi-amped option or DB659 for mono. Last time I saw a 680 it was up for £700 in VGC.
6. Thanks for the pre amp advice, ive just ordered a glockenklang one.. so hopefully that'll be what im looking for
The Ampeg pre, which isn't made anymore, had 5 valves and was the same one they used on their SVT 2 and 3 amps. Also, Aguilar made some good pre amps.
7. 300 quid off full price.. should i do it, to pair with my dynacord LX2200 class d power amp?
 8. You need watts my friend, 60 watts isnt enough with a drummer... especially with all those metal blast beats check out the for sale forum, plenty of great deals theres a big peavey rig for about 200 quid i think with a 2x15" cab
My current bass amp is http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/pr...-Amp?sku=480720 problem is when I play with my band I can't hear anything of what I'm playing, unless I'm sitting right beside the bass amp. We're playing really loud. And I would love some advice of what I should look for so I and my bandmates can hear me without having to hug my amp when we play. I don't know what I should look for in a bass amp, the size, watts? etc. or simple advices on different bass amps would be great playing death metal'ish music. thanks
9. cheers guys i think the berg 6x10 would be a good idea, sort of in between what i wanted lol.. but i'd struggle to transport as you say. any ideas on preamps?
 10. HI everyone need some advice. I have just sold my genz benz gbe750 and 2x12 cab because i got a great deal. Basically, i have a Dynacord lx2200 class d power amp.. its 1100 watts per channel at 4 ohm, and is light as a feather. The headroom is unbelievable, so a bass through it sounds amazing! I really want to use it, as this amp is worth about 1799 on its own, but i need help. Basically i want a nice valve preamp.. tempted with a summit audio td100 but might miss eq... then in terms of cabs, i want two 4x10's really, but am stuck between bergantino and markbass. I can get the markbass cabs at trade price, but would have to pay full wack for the bergs.. in just a bit stuck with what to do really... ANy advice JMT
 11. member amenra has one for sale on the forum.. head and 4x10.. ive played through them and they were awesome and his is clan as a whistle.Hes a great bloke too, give him a shout
How much would one of these amps cost on basschat? I want one bad! Any rough Ideas will be helpful! thanks guys
12. Hey... I went to london especially to check out denmark street.. bass cellar was one of the worst shops i've ever been in.. In their defence, although ritter didn't go out of business, one of the big distribution companies lost the contract, which made the stuff quite hard to get hold of for a few places.. At least thats what they told us in the shop i work in, no excuse for how you were treated though
After some recent experience, I'm now going to say that the Bass Cellar is the worst bass shop ever. For the last few weeks I've been looking out for a gigbag that will fit my 8 string explorer. I've been compensating by using my bag for my buzzard, however this is far from an ideal fit. I go on the web and look at Ritter's stuff and notice that they have a bag which will fit. I was in the bass cellar a few days before and remember them saying they sold Ritter stuff. Now for the fun. The same guy (and another bloke) tell me that Ritter have went bust (within the last week) and that the conversation I refer to above - NEVER HAPPENED. Nice. Call your customer a liar why don't you. This is different to "I don't remember" before anyone suggests I'm over-reacting. It was a "I/We never said that" conversation. It then gets better. Idiot No. 2 suggests that Warwick do a bag which would fit an Explorer. I decide to play along. I know they mean the one for the buzzard. For those of you who know, this bag can be obtained from Thomann for £65. I decide to wait and see how much they want to fleece me for it. The bloke checks through a big book for a few seconds - no doubt entitled "How to rip off your customers - Vol 5" and then turns to me and says that this bag - (a GIGBAG!!) is going to set me back (WAIT FOR THIS!!) £138. Yes, you read that correctly. ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT POUNDS. For something I can get for half that elsewhere. I then thought about this after walking out confused as to whether I should be laughing heartily or extremely angry. However, I then contacted Headstock distribution who told me that Ritter had not in fact went bust (as if I believed that pile of crap to start with) and suggested a much saner place to shop. As it turned out they had what I wanted so all was well. I will never, ever, for any reason whatsoever, regardless of emergency or anything shop with those utter tubes in the Bass Cellar ever again. If only they could follow the Bass Centre into "internet only" oblivion.
13. I think everyone is raising great points in this forum, my own personal opinion has always been to play whatever you feel comfortable on.. but over £5000? When you put that into terms with the life of the semi professional or weekend warrior then i think a clear answer becomes apparent. For example, 5k would go a long way toward my university fees... I think a great example of this is pedulla basses.. if you go on the pedulla website and spec up an instrument, you're gonna rack up 4k quicker than you can say "John paul jones..". Someone above mentioned the strength of the secondhand market.. but if you follow these instruments on ebay, they rarely meet reserve, often lingering around the 1100 mark
 14. Neck looks nice for a budget bass, you dont often see a maple board with such a dark character... the maple on a budget bass normally looks pale i think..
 15. Thanks for kind comments everyone.. i am very happy with it
Another beauty from the stables of Mr Shuker Very nice indeed...Enjoy!!!
16. The thing is i never liked sunburst or flamed maple... but after seeing a similar design to this on the shuker website i had to have it!
i don't like sunburst. i don't like flamed maple tops. but that is one awesome looking bass.
17. Would love one of jons headless basses... ive never owned a headless. I used to use Genz benz too, but have moved on after aquiring a 2.2k class d power amp Just need to find some cabs and preamp
Welcome to the club.
20. i saw knut reiersrud in honefoss... really great, completely unknown here, but one of the best gigs ive ever been to
Hei Freddy, velcommen til basschat. We have a few scandanavians here. I'm in Hønefoss. Where are you, who do you play with? Hilsen SteveO
21. HI Freddy, where are you from in norway? My girlfriend is norweigian, she is from sortland... I had the pleasure of spending new year and some of christmas in honefos (sorry for the spelling) at my "svigefar's" house... had a great time, such a beautiful country. Only bad side was being stuck in oslo gardemoen for 72 hours because the english airports couldn't cope with a small amount of snow.. That and guitars being twice as expensive as here!
 22. Hey everyone, ive finally decided to take the plunge and become a member My current set-up is- Shuker custom J Bass 5 w/nordstrand pickups Kopo Lina 4 Fretless Sandberg California JM5 Fender American Deluxe Jazz 4 Fender USA std Jazz 5 Battered Old westone I'm currently between amps... 24.
Are you looking for £600 each for the speaker cabs, or £600 for the pair?
600 for the pair... its what i bought them for
 25. Hi Everyone I have some stuff for sale: EBS proline 1x15 and EBS Proline 2x10 - £600 ono Great condition, only been gigged a few times, never by me. Only issue is some rust on a few of the screws in the 1x15, which could be replaced if this bothers you. Sound great.. EBS rate them at 400w each, both 4ohm cabs. Secondly i have a Genz Benz Neox 112 - 1x12 combo, 300w at 8ohm, 425 at 4ohm. This model is no longer made, in my opinion its a better deal than the newer shuttle rigs.. well at this price at least.. Only issue with the combo is i had to replace the 12"... but i replaced it with a higher quality Precision devices driver. The combo was £1199 new, but i'll take 500 or a nearest offer. There is also a cover included with this one. I'm happy to Ship both items, you can come view them first too if you want, im in walsall near birmingham. Cheers JMT3781
