1. Had a quick go on the new mxr bass octaver.. complete with blue sparkle finish casing must say my first impression was great (with my Shuker and markbass 2x10 combo).. very responsive with a bit of growl and dirt to play with too. Im going back in a few days with my ebs octabass to compare the too.. no doubt im going to end up withe two octavers though anyone else tried/own one?
2.
Tempting.. how bout the shuker?!
Haha... 21st birthday present from my parents... dont think that would go down too well
3. nothing majorly special.. i have a fender american deluxe jazz bass 4 string cherry burst that i won in a deal, couple of dings unfortunately, but its a nice player and the noiseless pickups sound beefy. I have a little ashdown rig too, evo 500 and abm 210. Sorry if these offers offend you lol, but as your close i thought i may aswell ask J
4. Didnt realise you were in birmingham? in terms of trades, what sort of fretted stuff are you after?
5. you say your after trades? what sort of thing?
Like a rocket to the moon I say BUMP!
6. i had a sandberg 5 string precison copy with musicman and "p" pickup. Both sounds were there, all courtesy of the pickup pan control. When mixed together it worked really well, great r'n'b sound
7. My Shuker was a bit late too, although not at ll Jons fault.. bartolinis were just impossible to get hold of. Luckily i decided to have nordstrands, and preferred them
8. i love that the oldest bass is the least beaten up unless i'm getting confused... it is late
9. i just sold one of them for 80 quid.. loed playing through it, was such an amazing sound
10. Hey everyone! I've done my first solo vid on youtube, so i'm eagerly awaiting being told i'm a "fag" or a "commie" by an american teenager lol.. thelink is in my signature below this post.. see what you think, its a general improv based on a mark king riff JMT
11. Also you can follow the link to see me playing the sort of thing i'm into
12. Hey everyone as part of my degree i have to do a dissertation performance, which will take place at the jamhouse in birmingham on the 4th of may! It's free to get in, and you get to see two fine acts. Firstly, i will be performing with my 6 piece band, material from stanley clarke, mark king, pino palladino, Jaco and some other more pop orientated stuff. The second act is a drummer named ian houghton, whoes overall groove is seriously something not to be missed, plus, his bass player is top notch if i remember rightly... He's gonna put me to shame at least! haha Come along if you are bored that night, se what you think of my chops JMT Below is the Facebook event link http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=3967...7003&ref=nf

Boring help

or a cheap multi-fx, see if you like effects and then splash out on some nicer single effects if you find some sounds you want to explore a little more
18. the 2x12 mentioned above sounds good to me.. Your rig will match then.. being a girl thats probably important to you only kidding, i loved my 4ohm 2x12, wish i still had it to be honest
19. with a sound like that and that colour im sure im gonna see that bass on the indie scene very soon... maybe me playing one
The description underneath isn't really selling it to me though. Looks great I admit, but I'm not sure I want something that sounds like a sheep.
20. the DBX ones are great There are plenty of great pedal ones though, DHA makes a great one
21. how much you want for the LMK when your all sorted?
22. Forgive Stevie Hamster, he's new to BC.. he's a drummer too, so he sometimes finds everyday tasks a bit difficult
23. what do midlanders count as?
24. Haha its the low E thats missing... not one of the important strings then!
25. i Had the slightly larger version of this cab, with porting across the bottom. Was a great sounding cab, one of the liveliest 15's i've ever used.. just a bit big. I sold it for 300 quid, so i hope that helps if your still wondering what yours is worth
