4. See what you make of this.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-STUDIO-15-STRING...#ht_4890wt_1167 i left pretty much speechless
5. yeah, the reason i posted it on here is cuz i wasnt sure if i had the money after my first bid, hoping someone might outbid me.... but it was all ok in the end, and yeh i got it for 270, im pretty cuffed, i think all my gas has ended in two short days. Just need to be rid of the GLock preamp and the ISP rig and the world will make sense once more!
6. I've finally reached a stage of gaslessness, not found since selling on my Genz Benz rig But now im finally sorted Markbass SD1200 arrived today , paired with my 2 x 410's sounds absolutely amazing, and is actually shaking my house And then to top it all off, Ive just won a shroeder 2x12 for the smaller gigs And my 2nd shuker should be here next week! And as a result of me reaching this state of Nirvana, i can pass on some bargains to you Basschatters! Am Selling my state of the Art ISP rig (active cab + Preamp+cover) and my Glockenklang preamp/poweramp setup for ridiculous money, so check out the respective threads in the marketplace If anyone is considering an SD1200, do it, they are top notch
7. crikey im surprised those maplin 12's survived bass guitar lol! i work in a guitar and PA shop around the corner from a maplin, and often have younger inexperienced folk bringing them in after they have destroyed them with drum and bass, and maplin have refused to take them back as the warranty doesn't cover misue lol... obviously they can work if someone who understands uses them
8. just looked on the website, doesn't have a power rating at 8ohms.. im confused now.. even so, i've used powerful heads on lesser cabs, and never blown a speaker.. its all a case of listening before turning up, most of the time (imho) you can hear when a speaker is gonna struggle past a certain level, so you just have to fight the temptation. However, when you find that correct combination of big head and smaller cab, sounds incredible purely because the head has plenty of headroom all of course in my oppinion
9. What does the bass terror pump out at 8ohm? surely not the full 500 watts
HI, I know the probable short answer to this is 'no', but I REALLY need to buy a compact bass amphead. In the long term I'm looking at pairing an Orange Terror head with an orange 2x12 but in the short term I was wondering if temporarily gigging with a Trace Elliot 3oo watt cab would be possible. It's an 8 ohm cab & I don't need serious amounts of volume on stage. Is this just asking for trouble? I can afford to buy a compact head now but will be stuck for the moment with either my Ampeg 4x10 or my compact 1x15 T.Elliot cabs and space-wise it really has to be the latter. Thanks.
10. Bump for pics of my own making... 650 pounds everybody!! surely its worth it just for Doods seal of approval!
11. haha do it, you could switch between two, or have each one feeding a channel of your power amp... would sound Phat lol
12. if anyone wants this rig, its for sale in the forum, for only 650 you get the cab and the pre and a custom cover, and two sets of wheels!!!!
13. I got an email at 19.40 last night lol must been getting it all over with in one go... Looks like my second shuker is ready, just settling over the weekend then being posted to me next week not rubbing it in too much, cuz mine is nowhere as special as you guys's... although check out the neck construction
I got a reply from Jon at 19:36 last night from an email I sent on the 14th, so hopefully you should get something soon. Probably worth giving him a call to make sure your emails are getting through.
21.
Ah but the glory of eBay is that the price is intended to go up and it'll then NOT be so attractive!
ah so thats why i haven't yet won...
