15. evening all my second Shuker should be ready next week, thus my 5 string sandberg JM is now redundant as a back up bass, which is a shame really cuz its a beauty. The reason i have put this up for trade is because i dont know how people will feel about this one, i know these basses are popular in the BC community. The Problem basically, just over a year ago when this bass was my main instrument. I was sat behind the counter at work slapping away. Something daft happened, either a customer wanted summat or the phone rang.. either way, the bass suffered a drop. The result was a crack in the rear of the headstock (about 1.5cm long running down from the machinehead for the b string), and a dent in the side of the fretboard (the side that faces you when you play.) After much cursing the bas was rushed to a local guitar tech, who glued the crack and left it overnight. The next day more glue was applied. After that, the bass remained my main bass until my shuker arrived, so just under a year, and i never had a problem with it. The other issue is that the battery compartment has been replaced with a much simpler design. This was due to the first one breaking, aswell as the replacement one sent to me by sandberg. Gone gone gone gone Anyway, the specs are cream/tort 5 string 34" scale vol/pan/treb/bass passive pull pot delano jazz + MM 9v active rosewood fingerboard side markers TRADES Im really not sure what people will make of this, but no harm in trying, its better than it sat in my wardrobe. Any Markbass heads + cash your way (depending on model i'm after SA450 and above) high end bass + cash your way MarkBass cabs + cash your way depending on which way 1 x12 cabs pref a pair (plus cash your way) Thats it really, ive only got one photo, more can be put up, i stress that anyone genuinely interested in this should come see it, as i want to be completely up front and honest with everyone, i know issues like this can be tricky.
 16. We have both in stock at TR Music in walsall, if thats nearby for you. I prefer the 1x12, mainly because of its size and shape. i love my mark bass 4x10's but the 2x10 combo didnt really do it for me
 17. am i missing something lol?
hiho, a sandberg for a beater-magic
18. i like option 3, however i think three fretless would be getting a little on the silly side im actually thinking about getting another neck now, i dont know its so confuzzling....
How about keep it, send the neck to a luthier you trust to check and maybe re glue the crack and then de-fret it to make a fretless? You would I'm sure be able to sell it but buyers will of course be wary so that will reflect in what they are willing to pay. So options i) keep it do nothing - always wonder what to do. ii) sell it on - maybe not realising what it is worth to you. ii) keep and have it de-fretted - a well loved, trusted and easy to play bass for you adding a new dimension to what you can turn out musically.
19. the alembic is already gone lol, just gotta post it out.. maybe i should put it for sale in the forum, just got no idea what to price it up as, and the forum police wont let me ask for offers, but i suppose i cant complain, as i would be flooded with offers for 50 quid lol
 20. HI everyone need some advice from fellow bass players... about four years ago i bought two sandberg basses, a PM5 and JM5. Both served me well through my music degree. However, when my first shuker came along, i sold the PM5, and kept the JM5 as a spare. Now i find my second shuker arriving next week, and wondering what to do with my JM5. Its the creme/tort variant, and its a great bass. I would probably sell it on here without a second thought, however... just over a year ago, it suffered a drop, which put a crack in the headstock (vertical extending up to the machinehead for the low and a dink in the neck. The Bass was rushed to the local guitar shop where the neck was glued. i can honestly say that i carried on using the bass as my main instrument for the whole year, and had no trouble with tuning or the crack opening back up. I emailed sandberg, who wanted 500 euros for a new neck... what should i do, does anyone know of anybody interested in such a bass? or should i hang onto it.. (bearing in mind with the new shuker i'll have 4 5 string fretted basses) opinions please
 21. on hold it seems
