    The alembic was nice... far too heavy though, man a rehearsal with that beast nearly killed me!     the best story i have is of a mad geezer who used to come into the music shop i work at he started off with a 1500 pound martin guitar... swapped it every week with us, and various other music shops, and eventually ended up with a guitar worth 50 quid. Saying that, i've been through some serious kit recently, made an enormous loss, but im still fighting! ha.

    hi there my first stack was a laney r4, which was the fore runner to the rb9 one worth considering is the ashton all valve head, its 300w valve and is fairly cheap.. whats your budget ?

    i have an ABM 500 head as a back up to my SD1200, have used it on a few occassions with a markbass 410hr (8ohm) no problems at all, sounded great.

    i think if posting details of interesting auctions stopped one person from being ripped off by a dodgy "original 60's p bass" or whatever then its worth doing it. Its nice having 10,000+ people who may know more about the item in question to give you a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Agree with the PM'ing

    i think the Nash jazz bass is second hand, i played it, was nice, felt vintagey.
