Total Watts

1. Oh woops, didn't think of that. Thanks lol. The price was just really nice so I thought "woah nice, give give give!"
2.
I don't know anyone who has ever had a problem running a separate amp and cab. That is the usual thing to do! The benefits are that you can add cabs if you need to and you can upgrade separately, which will save you money in the future.
Ah ok.. Well, leads me to more searching then Found a real cheap Peavey 3620 Bass Speaker Cabinet Enclosure 210 / 218 And I think I'm gonna go for that, unless someone have something bad to say about it? (Please do if you do! Anything ) But that leads me to the top. The cab is rated at 4 ohms and can handle 400 watts What features should I then look for in a top? Everyone that replies, I appreciate it so much
3. After some thinking I've excluded the top+cabinet of my list, I've read alot around that people often have problems with getting them work properly if they don't have much knowledge about it. Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II Bass Combo Amp Features: * 307W RMS power * 4 - 10" BlueLine speakers and tweeter * Bass, middle, and treble controls * Rotary controls for 15dB of cut/boost at 220Hz and at 1.6kHz * Front panel shape switches for Bright and Deep settings * Ashdown's acclaimed subharmonic generator for enhanced low-end response * Active and passive bass inputs * Effects send and return * Tuner/line output * Balanced DI output * Extension cab outputs * Black carpet exterior * Steel grille After what's been said, this is looking quite nice. Anyone has experience with this? Yea I know I ask alot, just don't wanna jump in it and buy
4. another question, can you have two different brands when it comes to top+cabinet? found a 2x15 Peavey bass cabinet Black Widow(same as the one in the For Sale Forum) Let's say if I got that, would it matter what brand my top would be? or should I defo go for a peavy top?
5. Argh, looking on the For sale forum. Almost everything I find is only for sale if I can collect it myself cus it's to heavy to ship -.- and if I find an online shop in europe they don't ship to Norway, but to my neighbour countries, Sweden and Denmark, whats up with that?!
6. can I just ask what you mean with "secondhand"?
7. I appreciate all the replies! Thanks alot. I have more wisdom now than when I started the thread I'm a bit sceptical with the for sale forum, seeing as I live in Norway. My plan was to find one, then go to the local music store and get them to order it for me, the safest way I would guess. I'm still looking and reading
8. http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/pr...ombo?sku=481428 think this would do it? Looking at the reviews it looks pretty neat!
9.
What kind of budget have you got? Would help people make suggestions.
Weeelll, not sure how much I would be willing to pay and how much money is required for what I need. Think I could go up to 800pounds. Unless I'm to cheap about it now?
10. My current bass amp is http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/pr...-Amp?sku=480720 problem is when I play with my band I can't hear anything of what I'm playing, unless I'm sitting right beside the bass amp. We're playing really loud. And I would love some advice of what I should look for so I and my bandmates can hear me without having to hug my amp when we play. I don't know what I should look for in a bass amp, the size, watts? etc. or simple advices on different bass amps would be great playing death metal'ish music. thanks
11.
Can't say that without telling us what you went for.
I haven't really decided yet. But atleast I know more now than before I wrote the topic. Wondering if I'm just gonna go for heavier strings and try that out, as some people mentioned! So I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy myself a new bass yet, I tought a 5 string was needed when playing drop c. But what I see now, 4 strings to more than enough good. but I'm really thankfull for people taking their time to reply
12. Just wondering if someone could give me a link, or a quick explanation about how the thickness on strings work. Playing drop C and the strings are to sloppy. Would thicker strings to the trick? In that case, anyone can recommend some good ones?
13. Hey there! I've been looking around on forums trying to find an answer on my question. I haven't found excactly what I've wanted to hear. Or I've not understood it completely But alright! I'm now playing a 4 string, tuned to drop C, to match the guitar in my band. I can't say I'm happy with the sound in my 4 string, to sloppy, isn't comfortable playing it while tuned down to drop C. So what I'm wondering is, if I try a 5-string bass, how do I tune it to get the same tuning on the B string, as I have on my E string when it's tuned to drop C. Or how does 5-string bass players normally tune when they play with drop C guitars? Sorry if it was a bad explanation of what I'm trying to figure. English aint my best side Thanks for the time!
