  1. Similar to my own Harlot. Beautiful bass. Top quality.
  2. Come on guys. This is a rare beauty. These sustain forever. A slippers dream. Can't believe this is still here. Rare in the UK. Get yourself an early Christmas present. Jeez its damned cheap.
  3. Well after ordering a Smooth Hound I received it within 24 hours. I immediately noticed the quality of the build. It's strong and rugged which is what you need in a gigging band. Plugging it in it worked straight off. I didn't notice any time delay for tethering with it. If there was a little more treble in the tone I didn't notice it, although Alembic's are pretty zingy to be honest. Will try my ACG's tomorrow, but don't expect to notice anything there either. The receiver is really quite tiny and light, the guitar transmitter also small and has the feel of a quality item. All in all I am very very happy with it and can recommend it to the members. Previously I had used an Ashdown Freebass but stopped using it as I didn't like the tone modelling aspect, and the batteries had a pretty short life. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this, and I am itching to use it in anger on stage. Chris (rednose200)
  4. Forgot to mention, this is worth about £500 more than the asking price. Bargain as not many of these in the UK
  5. This is just too damned cheap. This is one of the finest basses you will ever buy. Every note same volume, no dead spots on these all the way up and they are a recording engineers dream. Will never part with mine,, but really good luck with this sale. Can't imagine this will be on here long. All best.

  12. I know this bass. Played a few times. It is excellent. Think this is a bargain at this price. You won't be disappointed. Shame I'm not in the market at the moment. Damn !
  13. I can't believe this is still not sold. Fantastic value for a fabulous bass. If you guys haven't tried an ACG then nows your chance. These are the dogs testicles of British basses.
  14. Yet another of Alan's beauty's. Just lovely.
  15. Hi there. I'd like to buy your tuner please. Where do you live. I am in the North East at Durham. Probably a long shot for collection. Anyway, how would you like me to pay you please. All best. Chris.
  16. Yes I have one of these in this colour. Amani is correct. They are excellent basses. I don't know the seller either. GLWTS
  17. I have owned and played many basses in my time, but I always seem to keep going back to my Rogue. It has that unique Alembic tone that no other bass can provide. Both live and in the studio it never fails to cut through the mix. Yes they are expensive, but in my opinion they are worth the outlay. There is not one dead note on the neck. Every note sounds perfect. Your technique has to be pretty decent though. It will punish sloppy playing. You must be precise with your fingering. It is sometimes quite noticeable when I let the odd friend try it. Usually Fender players actually. Ah well. Personally I will never part with mine, unless a higher end model comes my way. That said I'm not keen on Series models. Maybe the MK, but that's about it to be honest. Set up is also extremely important and they are prone to neck variations due to temperature and humidity. I do my own set ups and it does take far longer than other basses. The dual truss rods take a bit of getting used to when setting up, but if you take your time and have patience, you can achieve a perfect action as per your own taste. Anyway there's my two penneth. All best.
  18. I bought my white with tort plate one a few years ago now. At the time it wasn't available in that colour. However I managed to get it after a struggle and they said it would take 6 weeks to build. Don't know if it is because it was a special order, but mine does not buzz at all. It is just excellent and I certainly won't be parting with it. And yes, this should have been produced in the 60's. You are correct. I waited for it for 40 years before somebody in Japan had the brainwave to introduce it. You can keep the modern player, the deluxe is top drawer IMHO.
